More About the Author

Born in Minsk, Russia, Katherine Agranovich is a mother of five, Hypnotherapist, speaker, Reconnective Healing Practitioner, and holds a Ph.D. in Natural Health Studies. Denied entry into medical school in Russia because she was Jewish, Katherine became a Registered Nurse, then emigrated with her husband and young son to Southern California. She worked in a variety of medical settings until a sudden, life-threatening illness struck her daughter. When traditional doctors had no answers, Katherine turned to alternative medicine.

Katherine has completed comprehensive programs in Professional Hypnosis, Alchemical Hypnotherapy, Psychology of Hypnotherapy and Neuro-Linguistic Programming (NLP). Most recently, she received certification as a Reconnective Healing Practitioner, Level III. In 2004, Katherine established Achieve Health Center, Inc., a holistic health center in Newport Beach, California, helping people with a wide variety of mental, emotional and physical challenges. Katherine is a frequent contributor to: www.chabad.org.

Tales of My Large, Loud, Spiritual Family was inspired by "Mikvah," an ancient, Jewish ritual of purification and spiritual elevation for women. This book takes readers inside the large, loud Agranovich household, where otherworldly encounters are accepted like grades and shoe sizes, and homework is often a cosmic lesson.

But in order to embrace their children's spirituality, Felix and Katherine, atheist Jewish refugees from Soviet Russia, have to undergo profound spiritual transformation themselves. Tales of My Large, Loud, Spiritual Family offers hope, courage and inspiration to parents committed to raising their children as spiritual beings.

The stories in this book will mystify you, enchant
you, and change your view on family dynamics forever.

This is unlike any book you have or probably will ever read. I started it on a Friday night and finished it by Saturday evening. I could not put it down! The tales are gripping and emortional and the the language is "real". The stories are portrayed vividly and hauntingly. Many say that miracles are only in the pastt. This book is proof that that is completely not the case. Tales of my Large Loud Spiritual Family is a must read!

This book came to be me when I needed it. Dr. Agranovich's Large, Loud, Spiritual Family was just what I needed to look inside myself and view my life in a new, amazing way. I read this book with an open mind. The tales of this amazing family were tales of survival and spiritual healing that WE can all benefit from.
As I read the book, I kept a notebook handy for notes. I wrote words, phrases, and passages from this book, which I have re-read over and over.
In the few days after reading this book, it has helped me with weight, self-esteem, and motivation issues.I can't say enough of the lessons I have learned. I'm so grateful that I read the book. IT'S A MUST READ!!!

Katherine Agranovich grew up as a Jew in the Soviet Union, experiencing the endemic anti-Semitism that subjected her to bullying from earliest childhood and to being barred from medical school despite having achieved the highest grades. She became a nurse, but her husband convinced her that there wasn’t a future for them and their son in Russia, and they were lucky enough to be granted political asylum in the United States along with her family.

Katherine was about to enroll in medical school in the US, when she became pregnant with her second child, and went into alternative medicine instead. One of the therapies she mastered was hypnosis, and hereby hangs the tale. Using hypnosis with her daughter for the usual things like test anxiety opened the door to a series of unusual visions and communications. Soon all her children and her husband were using the tool of hypnosis to launch themselves into altered states where their intuition could flower and bring the solutions to problems and even unbidden visions of the future.

The book is beautifully written with a flair and fluidity that is a compliment to both Katherine’s mastery of her new language and the book’s editors. Katherine enriches the narrative with humor and deep life wisdom; and by sharing her personal story with such candor, it is enjoyable on several levels. One is simply the colorful story of a family of refugees with their individual back stories, coming to the US with nothing, yet “making it” by dint of hard work and perseverance. Another is Katherine’s personal development as a mother, a healer and a spiritual being. At another level, you have the story of the blossoming of her of psychic skills, which came with too much validation to be passed off as coincidence or imagination. She shows how sparks of intuition we all might have experienced at one time or another could be fanned into the flame of knowing.

Katherine Agranovich's new book, Tales of My Large, Loud, Spiritual Family is a brilliant work. Agranovich shares her real life experiences with her family in this enjoyable book. The author, her husband, and their children explore their inner selves while learning, growing and loving in an extraordinary way.

The title says it all, a large, loud, spiritual family and the stories the author shares are funny, sad, must of all real.

I felt I grew while reading this book and was able to come to self-realizations of my own.

Truly remarkable book!!!

Highly Recommended!!!

Wow! After reading just a few first chapters, my chronoc headaches are gone and I'm feeling lighter, hopeful, inspired. In my opinion, everyone will connect with the stories in this book, and will benefit greatly. This book is much more than just about family and kids; it's about love and sorrow, struggle and healing, and is a reflection of a holistic experience of being human. Thank you, Katherine and please keep on writing your tales...
