5.0 out of 5 stars the best thing to come in years.
this cd is perfect from front to back. it has some of the sweetest beats and bass lines that i have heard in awhile, the lyrics are simply the best and this is the scariest cd that you can ever buy! nothing has ever been made that makes your skin crawl even half as much! here are the tracks and what i think of them: 1. 3.0 out of 5 stars good
i like ICP, i like Twiztid, and i like Marz so of course ide like this cd. Some of the songs were awsome (tracks 4,5,7,9,10,) some tracks were good (tracks 2,11,15) and some just sucked (3,6,8,14,) but i would recomend buying this if your a juggalo. its a damn shame that they redid it with anybooty filler replacing Marz, thats an embaresment.

Intro: some voice talking some scary [...] about this being the last message before the almighty sixth jockers card. a perfect intro to this kind of cd. 5/5

2. Ali Baba: some freaky chants in this song. im pretty sure this is one of the tracks with black magic. 5/5

3. Cripple and Rape me: this song has pretty much bass. the course is kind of slow but the lyrics are the [....] 4/5

4. I hurt myself: this is pretty funny. it is a sexual song but its about violent j and the rest of them hurting themselves. but i guess they get turned on by hurting themselves. 5/5

5. Call upon your gods: this song talkes about some true [....] it talkes about people getting all religious when they know they are going to die, but before that they are killers. 5/5

6. And we danced: this song is funny and scary at the same time! it is about 5 guys going into a cemetary too smoke [...] and drink, when some dead girls come up from the ground and they dance and [stuff]. nice. 5/5

7. Black Magic: this is the song that dark lotus released a couple of weeks before the cd came out. this one has black magic in it for sure. scary as hell! 4/5

8. Taste of blood: this song is all about how much the dark lotus guys like blood, and how they like to eat it and stuff. the course on this song isnt that great. it still is good though because the raps are sweet. 4/5

9. Headache: this song is another scary one. it is about demons chacing them. it has some weird talking and some backwards talking. 3/5

10. Nobody likes me: this song is about how every body hates them. and how they cant get any action. its hilarious! 4/5

11. B***h im sexy: this is sort of a sex song. it i probably the funniest song on the album because it is sort of a remake of that stupid song that says "if you want my body, and you think im sexy... bla bla bla. but they change the words. 5/5

12. Fire rain: back too the [...] scary [...]! wicked guitar riffs and a wicked course. this is one of the best on the album. 5/5

13. Mah jeh mah: this song has a pretty catchy little toon at the start and in the backround for most of the song. the song is about what what they would do if they died and how much they want to die. pretty cool. 4/5

14. the crows: do not listen to this song alone in the dark unless you want to [...] your pants. it doesnt get any scarier than this. it changes the lord prayer for the course and makes it damn scary! i get chills every single time i listen to this song. im listening to this song now and so now i have to go change my underwear. 5/5

15. Juggalo family: this song makes you feel good to be a juggalo. it is VERY catchy and im sure it is going to be a huge hit for juggalos. i can listen to this song over and over again. 5/5

16. dot com: this song just gives shout outs to people that make icp what it is today. website people, icp coffie shops, etc. 2/5 if you want to go on the ride of your life than buy this damn cd! if you dont like it than you just dont understand it.

5.0 out of 5 stars This is Psychopathic at their darkest..., April 20, 2004
By
This review is from: Tales From the Lotus Pod (Audio CD)
I noticed that every track is untitled, so, being a Juggalo, I've taken it upon myself to put down the correct titles to the songs.

1. Intro
2. Ali-Ba-Ba
3. Something
4. Hurt Myself
5. Call Upon Your Gods
6. We Danced
7. cigaM kcalB
8. Gimme Dat Blood
9. Headache
10. Bad Rep
11. Bitch I'm Sexy
12. Swarm
13. I Wanna Die
14. Black Crows
15. Juggalo Family
16. .Com

This is an AWESOME CD! Dark Lotus is comprised of the Insane Clown Posse, Twiztid, Blaze Ya Dead Homie, and Marz. Unfortunately, Marz didn't quite make it with the psychopathic family, and was soon replaced with Anybody Killa, who can be found on the remake of Tales from the Lotus Pod.

I have no clue how many times I have listened to this cd. I even go to sleep listening to it and the whole cd on repeat. If you do that you can sing every word and scare the sh*t out of your friends. The cd has a curse on the booklet that they use on an episode of Fear on MTV. The one with the guy in the dark room with mirrors. It works and you have to make sure that you say "close the gates" or you will be sorry. My favorite tracks are numbers 2, 3, 4, 5, 7, 8, 10, 12, 13, 14, and 15. They are all scary songz except for 11. That is just funny. Go to the new tour "HATCHET RIZING TOUR" which is gonna be Blaze, Twiztid, ICP, then Dark Lotus. A very long concert.

5.0 out of 5 stars Tales from the Lotus Pod, November 2, 2001

Psychopathic records, known for releasing the underground music of the Insane Clown Posse and Twiztid. This CD incorporates both groups, along with a fellow Psychopathic Ryda Blaze, and a guy Named Marz who they seemed to try and help out but now have removed him from the line up for personal reasons. There is a great deal of change in the style that most fans of Twiztid and ICP might not be used to. Lyrics are split up evenly between the 5 members of the lotus, while Marz does have quite a few verses. The CD has and underlining theme that expresses the members feelings on society today, and the hypocritical, ignorant, and the naive people living in it. The lyrics are very metaphoric and it is also possible that listeners may not get the true point that the members of Dark Lotus may be trying to get across. The beats are very unique and have a very different style rather than what is seen in "Mainstream" today. The lyrical capability of the 5 true members of Dark Lotus are amazing, and blow mainstream rappers out of the water. So for every fan of ICP and Twiztid go and get this CD now, and for those of you who would knock a CD like this because of the relationship with ICP or Twiztid; pull the wool from over your eyes and get this CD.

5.0 out of 5 stars no titles, September 2, 2004
This review is from: Tales From the Lotus Pod (Audio CD)
even though there were no titles to the songs written anywhere, this was an amazing cd. i liked the original better with marz then the revisited version with abk. the flows were better and with abk, you could tell they just dubbed his voice onto the cd to cover marz. this is also a better album then black rain. so if you like marz and want to hear some tight flows with the rest of the hatchet family then make sure to get the case with the red cross. i have both and i recommend this version. mcl

4.0 out of 5 stars It's All Good, August 16, 2003
This review is from: Tales From the Lotus Pod (Audio CD)
If you're interested in escaping from the goofy rap that is Psychopathic Records than you might want to give this CD a listen. While you're still subjected to listen to the voices of Twiztid and ICP you'll be pleased to know that the overall album content is far from what they usually produce and extremely tolerable to listen to and not to mention actually enjoy. I was honestly able to listen to this CD from start to finish without even changing the track which as some of us know is quite a challenge when it comes to Psychopathic Records related music (ABK, Blaze, Twiztid, ICP, Zug, Etc). If you're smart you'll purchase the ORIGINAL version of Tales From The Lotus Pod because as we all know but often fail to admit is that Marz is far more advanced than the lisping rapper we know as AnyBody Killa.

5.0 out of 5 stars Great CD, February 13, 2003

This review is from: Tales From the Lotus Pod (Audio CD)
Awesome CD, the problem is though that it's so hard to find. I looked all over for this CD, but finally found it at a local record store in my town. If you like ICP, Twiztid, or any other Psychopathic stuff you will definetly like this. This is not one CD your going to listen to once and be done with, your going to listed to it over and over. I highly reccomend you buy this CD now. My favorite tracks are 2,4, and 7.

5.0 out of 5 stars Heckyl meckyl LUCIFER! Heckyl meckyl CRUCIFER!, August 1, 2002
By A Customer
This review is from: Tales From the Lotus Pod (Audio CD)
This collaborative effort from the Lotus Pod (ICP, Twiztid, Blaze and Marz) is absolutely the most beautiful piece of horrorcore rap I ever heard! No formidable super-rap group has ever emerged from this industry since Busta Rhymes and the Flipmode Squad! Only here, the Dark Lotus is underground! Mixing lyrics of violence and bloodshed with the supernatural, the DL has created the perfect warning for the coming of the End of the World. All of the tracks are fused together by backward masking (a recording element previously used by ICP in the Amazing Jeckyl Bros. and the Bizzar/Bizarr albums)
"Black Magic," in one gigantic curse, includes everything from voodoo, to exorcism, to the Egyptian pyramids, to crop circles and UFO's. "And We Danced" is another classic song about necrophilia. "Gimmie that Blood" is a morbid dance mix that answers the fatal question: What is it like to be a vampire?
"Hurt Myself" is a song that makes a person want to think twice about self-mutilation and suicide. When the DL spew out lyrics like "So I throw my legs under moving cars, you got your habits,"
"Pain rushes out when I stick the shank in me," and
"Xacto blade underneath the fingernail," one can almost feel the invisible stinging sensations of pain and agony in his/her limbs and face!
Do you know what's the most creepy thing of all in this CD?
Look at the inside cover. Inside the fold is a picture of glowing Egyptian pyramids, which contain the ancient secrets of the Carnival's legacy. Now look at the inside cover of
"The Great Milenko," and what's in there? AN EGYPTIAN PYRAMID!! COINCIDENCE? I DON'T THINK SO! It's obvious that since 1997 the Dark Lotus was in the making. Either that or the Master of Necromancy will show up again in the future (maybe in the Final Joker's Card!). You be the judge!
