This is a great collection of Nasrudin stories with a variety of interpretations provided by the authors. The interpretations are sometimes right and sometimes wrong (and I'm not always sure which are which ;-) -- but, the stories are classic, and the authors give some decent examples of how one might gain from them. I imagine this would be good for those interested in first learning about Nasrudin or teaching about it perhaps.

Format: Paperback
I'm a long-time fan of Nasrudin and I've enjoyed many stories of his antics. I was dissappointed in this collection, especially with the stories chosen. There were only a handful that were particularly interesting. The authors' 'explanations' at the end of each story were sometimes helpful but often seemed fairly far-removed from the theme of the story being explained. Perhaps that was due to my lack of understanding but, if so, the 'explanations,' as long as they were, often failed to connect to the story being explained. The various tales of Nasrudin offer a goldmine of philosophical and psychological insights, but I'd look elsewhere for access to this treasure.
