David Icke.....is somewhat of an enigma. This is an O.K. read; must be read with patience though, as it definitely isn't "unputdownable". He says it's a self-contained read, however, if you haven't read his other works, you'll be left questioning a lot of his statements. He starts out raving like a babbling idiot, then tapers off into a source-cited-presentation-of...

4.0 out of 5 stars Freeing yourself from the illusion, January 15, 2004
This review is from: Tales from the Time Loop: The Most Comprehensive Expose of the Global Conspiracy Ever Written and All You Need to Know to Be Truly Free (Paperback)
David Icke is one of the most controversial "conspiracy theorists" in the world. He has both a dedicated following and some influential enemies who do their best to silence him. Some criticize him for not being original. True, most of his ideas can be found elsewhere, but he has an exceptional ability to synthesize theories and explain them in an easy to understand and entertaining style. He also draws a lot from contemporary culture, especially movies, as with his use of the term "matrix" to describe our current state. This is not a bad thing; Icke believes (and I agree) that films like The Matrix series are not simply entertainment, but contain actual information about the world we live in, or the world we believe we live in. This, in fact, is his main message: that virtually everything we have been taught to believe by mainstream society is false. Governments, the media, big business, mainstream medicine, education and so forth, all promote an agenda designed to keep us deceived and enslaved. Some of the most controversial material in his books are the "reptilians." In this book, he integrates this theory with the idea of a holographic universe. Again, this is not an original theory (the holographic theory was popularized by Michael Talbot, who Icke quotes at length here), but one well worth introducing to more people. In a later section, he describes his mystical experiences after taking ayahuasca, a hallucinogenic plant used in the Amazon. He describes what a voice, which identifies itself as the Infinite, tells him --that we are caught in this illusory "time loop" and that the only reality is Oneness or infinite love. Now this is pretty much what mystics have always said, but, again, Icke explains it very well (whether you believe he is giving a literal account of a genuine experience or telling us what the voice of the Infinite might say). If I have any criticism of the book (and Icke's style in general), it is that he spends at least 90% of the book telling us about all the lies, brutality and deception (the sections on the US war against Iraq are especially depressing and graphic) and the other 10% telling us how it's all an illusion. Even though he concludes by saying we should neither fear nor hate those who are deceiving us, the sheer quantity of evil deeds he exposes makes it difficult to walk away with a positive outlook. I would like to see him shift his emphasis a little more in the direction of the mysticism he clearly embraces and give a little less attention to all the darkness. Not that we should deny the darkness, but once you know it's there, it becomes redundant to identify every form it takes. If you really want to understand what lies behind the apparent reality of events, you should read this book.

I began reading the Icke books years ago and have to admit that some of the information sounded way too far out there for me to grasp. But over the years and after a bit of maturing, I finally realized that my definition of what Life is was not necessarily the correct one. There is a beauty to Life that fills one's heart with a joy beyond definition. David Icke has this joy. But, in Icke's quest to present all of the truth (and sometimes the truth is not pretty) he also reveals the horrors of this life, the things that hurt our senses. I don't like reading about the horrors, yet something in me says that what Icke is stating is true. If we want to understand what's going on in this world, we have to be able to accept the whole truth. The first half of this newest book contains a synopsis of many of his other books (so one doesn't have to read all of them in order to "catch up"), but the second half is the most beautiful, magnificent testimony of love and hope that I have ever had the privilege to read. The world is in a very bad way right now and we all know it. Icke explains what happened and how all of us have to pull together in order to return "reality" to its true state of awesome potential. In place of hatred, denial, and bitterness over what's going on in this world, replace that with love for our fellow humans. In place of resentment over what world leaders are doing to our "home" with their ignorant arrogance, let our minds, hearts, and bodies resonate with the power of love - true, compassionate, honest, down-to-earth, beautiful love and perhaps that love will create a new kind of world, one based on kinship with our fellow human beings. One has to read this book with an open mind and heart and then will realize that Icke's words are true. Scientists know that the world is not a conglomeration of separate life-forms desperately trying to survive (as world leaders want us to believe). We are all One; all of Life is One. The current world system promotes feeling separated, alone, and isolated (what a bad feeling that is). Scientists know though, that everything in our experience is part of One Life, One Love, One Gift. We humans all possess the same Universal elements and are very much alike. The only thing that creates differences is our beliefs and thoughts (and how much of the world system nonsense we choose to believe). Peace and love to all of you, and especially to David Icke who is a courageous, warm, loving human being who truly cares for his fellow humans. Thanks, David, you really did a beautiful job.

5.0 out of 5 stars It's wake up time!, February 24, 2004
By A Customer
This review is from: Tales from the Time Loop: The Most Comprehensive Expose of the Global Conspiracy Ever Written and All You Need to Know to Be Truly Free (Paperback)
It's hard to add anything new to what has already been written here about 'Time Loop'. I echo everyone else's sentiments entirely .

All I would add is this: for anyone who is considering buying this book , but is feeling a bit "But, it's David Icke !!", just go with your instincts and curiousity, and buy it anyway - we won't tell! ;-)

Seriously, there's a reason why so much of the media attempts to discredit David : it's because he speaks, and writes, the truth. The more people who see through this media speak (sorry, lies), and start to take some tentative steps towards discovering what's really happening for themselves...well, it will benefit us all enormously. More than you can imagine.

So, don't worry if you've never bought another book like this before. Just dive in. There's a reason you're drawn to this - and I believe it's because, like the rest of us, you're waking up. Try some of his other books as well - I particularly enjoyed the 'World Trade Center' one.

David's style of writing is good - I sometimes get lost in all the facts and figures, but these are essential and you have to 'go with them'! He's also very funny, and his ability to really hit the nail on the head is mindblowing . You just KNOW he's telling the truth.

The reptiles ? Why would he tell the truth about everything else, but just lie about this one aspect ? I don't think so . As with everything else in David's books, there's just too much evidence and it all fits together that bit too well for it not to be true. And it's fundamental to everything else he's presenting .

Please do yourself a huge favour, and buy 'Time Loop'. Read it -then recommend it to someone you know!

5.0 out of 5 stars He did it once again- a must read for all humans!!!!!!!!!!, October 22, 2003

What makes David Icke so special? well.....
a lot of people write great books on gov't conspiracies- William Cooper(r.i.p.) jim marrs, michael ruppert, alex jones(great dvd's) and more. but what David Icke brings to the table is the bigger picture. NO ONE SHOULD READ DAVID'S BOOKS UNTIL YOU HAVE READ EVERYONE ELSE'S CONSIRACY BOOKS- AND WITH AN OPEN MIND.
a lot of people believe 100% in his words EXCEPT for the REPTILIAN THEORY of his.
whether you want to believe his reptilian theory or not- You must believe in the well documented facts on the N.W.O.- the us police state, F.E.M.A., police state, george bush's connections to osama ben laden, also the royal bloodlines, and what about that section in the book "biggest secret" on Princess Diana- we are now hearing on the news about a letter she wrote about her concern that they were planning to kill her in a car accident- David was on the money!

this new book is the ultimate. the cherry on top. once again blessing us with nothing but the truth. share this book once you are done. truly a masterpiece of investigative work.

if this is your last book David- i would like to say thanks for opening my eyes. you are a true saviour.

This review is from: Tales from the Time Loop: The Most Comprehensive Expose of the Global Conspiracy Ever Written and All You Need to Know to Be Truly Free (Paperback)
I am glad that David Icke starts off this book by giving a good synopsis of his other books, which helps new readers tie together all his complex, yet easy to follow theories. If you `enjoy' reading about all the different conspiracy theories that govern this world, then you will find this to be quite an enlightening read as Icke weaves all the different conspiracy theories together in a very easy to understand, well researched book, as frightening as it may be at times. His writing style is quite honest and open, and at times you may find it even a bit crude for your taste. His sources of information are easy to find at the end of each chapter, with a good bibliography and index at the end of the book.

This book will leave you feeling hopeless and sick at times, due to the depth he goes to show the deceit in the people that govern this world. No matter where you are in life or what you believe, this book will definitely make you re-examine yourself and the world around you with a much different outlook. Icke does offer some solutions to the world's problems but not as in depth as I would have liked to see.

His research exposes how governments, religions, media, and UFO's all blend together in a Matrix of deceit, that is ruled by a very small percentage of the worlds population, which is fast turning us (or already has) into a Orwellian society that we thought could never happen, to us the free.

This book is probably the best there is on bringing all conspiracy theories together, but as any book it is not the final word on any subject. If you're a well read person with an open mind you will find that a few of his theories still need a bit of work, but otherwise I would highly recommend that everyone read this book no matter how much it may go against what they believe is the truth.

As the book states, our inability to question our own motives or anyone else's is truly alarming, so I think a word of caution is needed, because lots of the information in the book is theories which never can become real to you unless you do what is needed to prove them to yourself.

Enjoy the book. Enjoy the challenge of breaking free from the Time Loop.

5.0 out of 5 stars The blue or the red pill?, April 7, 2004

This review is from: Tales from the Time Loop: The Most Comprehensive Expose of the Global Conspiracy Ever Written and All You Need to Know to Be Truly Free (Paperback)
When I started reading this book I felt a bit like Neo in the Matrix, I didn't know how to take it; the truth. Truth be told however I checked a lot of his facts and the ones I checked were true. It's absolutely appalling how much is kept from us. An excellent read if you have an open mind, heart, and don't mind having your perception turned upsidedown. Or you could take the blue pill...

I really feel sorry for the sheople who still consider the conspiracies to be a theory. It just goes to show how well all of thier brainwashing (via TV, religions, schools, media, science, etc.) has worked. Bill Cooper used to say that we should read everything, listen to everyone and believe NOTHING unless we can prove it in our own research (I would add experience). Everyone these days is a critic and a know-it-all. Unbind and unplug your thought-controlled mind and discover the TRUTH in and around you. It WILL set you free. Thanks to David Icke for helping us all along. Just don't fall into the trap of becoming an Icke follower. Be yourself, think for yourself and discover for yourself. The New World Order will die one day. Love and freedom will prevail. We cannot lose, really. Peace be with you all.

5.0 out of 5 stars 'Amazing' is the only word!, May 7, 2005

Hitesh "Acehit" (Leicester United Kingdom) - See all my reviews
This review is from: Tales from the Time Loop: The Most Comprehensive Expose of the Global Conspiracy Ever Written and All You Need to Know to Be Truly Free (Paperback)
This is truly an amazing piece of work written by a genius. Alot of people label Icke as a conspiracy theorist, amongst many worser things, but the truth is it's no longer a conspiracy, but a true reality of what's going on in the world. Icke has been exposing for many years now that an society of alien interbreeding bloodlines have been manipulating and conditioning the human race ever since our species was created. I am not praising his work, just because I am an Icke fan, I have read all his work as well as listened to all his lectures with an open and closed mind.

Icke has been called just about every rude word in the dictionary and still continues to communicate the message to the world, and his brave for doing so. I have read the reviews to his other books, and surprised at the amount of times people have said that he has no real evidence for his claims, but my goodness there is a mass of evidence. I dont know how many skeptics have read his books properly, because after every chapter there is a referece bibliography, for you to do your own research.

What many people are afraid of is 'change.' Reading this book is almost like taking the red pill, like Neo does in the Matrix. Once exposed to this information, there is no going back because it's with you forever. Although when you enter this field of research, most people prefer to take the blue pill, in the sense that they read a certain amount and stop, because they are afraid it's going to change there life drastically. Therefore the only way you explain your scepticism is by stating ridiculous comments like 'Icke doesnt back up his information' when he clearly does, and also by unnecessarily calling him a nutter or freak.

What the skeptics dont realise is that the change it makes to your life is positive, once you take the red pill and go the distance in identifying with your true self, you start to connect to the infinate and become the multi-dimensional being we all truely are. I dont think humans are only good for hanging out in the pub and watching television 247, we are much better than that!

If you want to experience the true mangnitute of who you are, than except the fact that we are experiencing a global change. I'm not saying read all Icke's books and believe everything, not to say its not true, but look at other sources. Icke isn't the only communicator of this message, the answers are out there waiting for you, but it's like Morpheus says to Neo "I can only show you the door, your the one who has to walk through it."

It's about time we all walked through the door!

I really love this one. It's got it all. It starts out with the history of our leaders right up to the 4th reich. Then on to the mandatory reptilian section. Then my favorite "It's all an Illusion". And finally Icke tells us how to break free. If your new to Icke this is a great place to start and feel free to skip right to levels 3 and 4 if your not into details. You might end up reading the 2nd half of this over and over.

Coherently written and reasonably argued, this book constructs a framework to hang all of your conspiracy theories onto. Prepare to start believing this one. The author ranges from partical physics to alien races to government scams, and you know what? It forms a picture clear enough to reset your indoctrination into a new worldview.
