Mayday Parade is way more that Amazing!,
By
This review is from: Tales Told By Dead Friends (Audio CD)
Being a connoisseur of good music, I look for bands that have some special to bring to the table. Standing in line at WArped TOur this summer I expected to hear a lot of new music. What I didn't expect was to have the highlight of my day standing in line at WArped TOur. Ever since then, I have listened to their ep multiple times. By far the best music I purchased all year. These guys bring triple-threat vocal harmonies, great guitar parts, and progressive style drumming. Each song on this ep is different. Lyics are amazing! Whether you've loved, lost, or been stepped on, this ep will speak to you!

All time favorite,
This review is from: Tales Told By Dead Friends (MP3 Download)
Besides the beautiful harmonies and tasteful lyrics, this album hits home for someone who isn't into the whole pop punk genre. Every single track here has meaning and depth, and not one song is 'bad'. This is when Mayday was strongest, and now their doing great.

This EP Started it All,
This review is from: Tales Told By Dead Friends (Audio CD)
Even if you're a new fan to Mayday Parade, you have to listen to "Tales Told By Dead Friends"! This 6 song ep will capture your heart. The first song, "Just Say You're Not Into It" will have you raising your hand, admitting that you can relate to the song, at the first lyric. From there, you move into "When I Get Home, You're So Dead," which is a track you can definitely rock out to, followed by the tear-jerking "One Man Drinking Games". After that, you come onto "Your Song" which will make you smile and is the perfect track to recover with after "One Man Drinking Games." Then you move into the popular "Three Cheers for Five Years". I can not describe how amazing that song is, you'll just have to listen to it. The ep closes with "The Last Something That Meant Anything" singing a sweeping and emotional farewell. With this ep, you can tell that from early on, Mayday Parade has always been a band that puts all of their energy and emotion into their music. Each lyric is so beautiful and relateable, and the music that accompanies it, both vocal and instrumental, is powerful and you can feel it inside of you.
You may be hesitating on buying this because there is only six songs, but I highly recommend "Tales Told By Dead Friends as these six songs are so wonderful, that they pretty much equate to three normal songs each, so really, it's like you're getting 18 songs because they are that good.
