About the Author

David Shoalts is an award-winning hockey columnist for The Globe and Mail, Canada's national newspaper. He has covered hockey for The Globe and Mail since 1989 and managed to survive the final days of Harold Ballard, one National Hockey League strike, and two lockouts. He grew up in Wainfleet, Ontario, and now lives with his wife and two children near Toronto. Shoalts resides in Bolton, Ontario, Canada. Past titles include Greed & Glory: The Fall of Hockey Czar Alan Eagleson (Warwick Publishing, 1993).
