Patricia McConnell again writes with deep feeling and understanding of our best friends and our relationships with them. She has given me many clues and directional arrows to help me understand my own pack.

Patricia McConnell did a great job with this book. It's funny and heartwarming, but most importantly it really makes you think about your relationship with your dog and how you act together.

I love how she sometimes just admitted that we don't know everything about dogs and that we sometimes just have to laugh at them (and how we're sure they're probably laughing at us as well).

I highly recommend this book for an easy read.

I've read her other books and was very disappointed that she repeated the SAME EXACT stories that she had already published. That is cheating! How can she sell two books with the same stories? It's boring to read the same stuff over and over again, just to make sure there isn't anything new. Otherwise I think she's good for the most part (although sometimes I wish I could find an author that was an expert not just on dogs with fear and aggression problems). Not all dogs are bad!

This book is another gem from Patricia McConnell. Many great essays from her prior publications but always worth reading again.
