Editorial Review
"You have been given the power to hear through someone else's ears. How could you use it?" "Why would the firefighter be uncertain?" In The Whole Brain Game, 8 instruction cards provide the basic scenario, and 200 category cards are used to fill in the blanks. The result is some intriguing and thought-provoking questions. With rational and intuitive portions of their brains fully engaged, players come up with some highly logical (and some purely goofy) answers to the questions posed. ("How are dogs and deodorant used together?") Other players judge the feasibility and uniqueness of each response, and award one point for each answer that fits the standard. An eight-sided die determines which instruction card is used per turn, and a 30-second timer keeps the game moving right along. Scoring sheets are provided to help players keep track of their progress. Players need to answer questions in each of the eight categories, and the first to reach 80 points wins.
