5.0 out of 5 stars Encore
This guy has a very sultry sound. He really makes you listen to the music. He really should be included in the top 10 sax players if not top 5. Some people just don't get the breaks that others do but this guy will make your day. He expresses himself very well on every cut. I hope he comes out with something new very soon. He has a couple more cds that the smooth...

3.0 out of 5 stars Let This One Into Your Heart!!!
I began listening to Sam Riney back in the late 80's or early 90's. Poor Sam has never received the recognition that he deserves. He is an excellent sax player and even produced this CD. I like to try and review CD's while I am listening to them. And that's what I am doing now!!! The opening selection Let Me Into Your Heart is one of my favorite songs by him. Clearly it...

Clearly it is the best song on this CD. The next 3 tracks are good as well. I could have done without the remake of Breaking Up Is Hard To Do...I don't even like Neil Sedaka's version. We Were Made For Each Other is an okay song, but overall the beginning of this CD is better than the ending. Let This One Into Your Heart if you like up tempo and smooth jazz styles!

He has a couple more cds that the smooth jazz lover should check out. I listen to this guy and go "whoa! This guy is sweet". I just had to check out his other stuff and was not disappointed. Check this guy out. You'll love it.

5.0 out of 5 stars You have to hear Wherever you Are!!!, January 16, 1999
By A Customer
This review is from: Talk to Me (Audio CD)
I kept hearing the song Wherever you Are on a jazz station. I finally stayed on the phone for an hour trying to find out who it was. I immediately ran out and bought it!! The entire CD is good and I really enjoy listening to his music.

4.0 out of 5 stars "feel good" music, February 25, 1999

If you feel low it makes you feel better. If you feel good, it helps you to maintain that good feeling. Sam demonstrates that the sax is the classic jazz instrument at its best.

4.0 out of 5 stars Talk To Me~Sam Riney, September 12, 2007
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
This review is from: Talk to Me (Audio CD)
Mr Riney Is Indeed A Good Sax Player When He Puts His Mind To It! On This Particular CD He Does Very Well On The First 4 Tracks And Then Seem To Lose Interest Or Inspiration! He Just Falls Flat While The Accompaning Muscians Do A Fine Job. It Got Very Tiring To Listen To At Times.
The Best Track Is The First One, Let Me Into Your Heart! He plays With Feeling And Puts Everything Into It, An Excellent Track And Shows What This Guy Can Really Do! This Is A Decent CD For The Price.
