If you want to learn Saami language, this is an exellent place to begin. This is in North Sami language, or Davvisámigiella, or golligiella. There are 2 speakers (male and female) who repeat each word or phrase as often as you click to hear. There are games, a printable dictionary, and practice sections in which you can listen and repeat the word. If you have a headset or microphone, you can hear how your pronunciation sounds compared with the teachers. There are 2 levels of games--easy or hard. The computer keeps your scores. Even when the rest of the program becomes easy, the numbers and time-telling will keep you busy because those I found to be the most challenging. When you are ready for more, I highly recommend the Saami Vocabulary Builder which is made by the same people. The only difference in that program is the lack of a printable dictionary. But that program takes it a step further. Anyone wanting Saami language in their home should have both of these computer games. If you honestly do the program, you will being to learn Sami. Even the children are learning just by their exposure to my use of the program. A++ to the creators, and I hope they will make more.
