Whet your "learning styles" appetite!, January 19, 2005
This review is from: Talkers, Watchers, and Doers: Unlocking Your Child's Unique Learning Style (School Savvy Kids) (Paperback)
Would you like to whet your appetite on the topic of learning styles? If so, then, Talkers, Watchers & Doers by Cheri Fuller might be the place to start. The author is an experienced educator who has written thirty books and her writing is based on years of experience. She begins by helping you to identify your child's learning style (auditory, visual or kinesthetic), then moves on to helping you discover your own. She also encourages you to discover your child's talents and gifts (introduction to the chapter on multiple intelligences) with this nugget: "Learning differences are not just liabilities, as we tend to think of them. They are pathways to the great potential that lies within." The chapter entitled, "Learning-Different People Who Achieved," describes the struggles and triumphs of seven famous people. You'll have to read it yourself to find out more! Finally, be sure to check out the list of recommended reading at the end of the book if you're interested in continuing your study of this topic. ~ Karen S., reviewer for Homeschooling Horizons Magazine www.homeschoolinghorizons.com

Great book with some great ideas, March 3, 2007
This review is from: Talkers, Watchers, and Doers: Unlocking Your Child's Unique Learning Style (School Savvy Kids) (Paperback)
I just finished reading this book for help with my very different learning style children. It has lots of wonderful encouragement and explinations that I haven't been able to find any place else. It helped me to understand better how my different children learn and what to look for when trying different things. There are several great ideas for the different learning styles in there, but not as many as I had hoped for. I am not an avid reader, but this book was certainly well worth it's price and definately worth reading!

Keeping You Encouraged, January 9, 2006
This review is from: Talkers, Watchers, and Doers: Unlocking Your Child's Unique Learning Style (School Savvy Kids) (Paperback)
If you want to encourage yourself and your child, if you want to help your child be all that they can be. Do you want to remind yourself that your child has a gift, you just need to find out what it is, please get this book. I have recommended to at least 3 people. Cheri keeps you encouraged and not just talks to you, she shows you keys to unlocking your childs learning style. This book is also very easy reading.
