A wise book meant for those capable of deep reflection,
By
This review is from: Talking with Angels (Paperback)
This is not a how to book. The angels in this book answer many deep and compelling questions. Questions humans have been asking for a long time. It was a hard book to come by and now that amazon has it everyone can find what the soul seeks answers to. Be patient read the whole book then read it again. I have many times and each time I gain a little more understanding of each angels message and why they are so important to us. These angels are not confined to religious dogma they are not catholic jewish baptist they are the angels who share what they know to guide us, and help us understand the reason we are here and what we are to accomplish. I will keep this book with me always in heart and mind. Gitta said she did not write it I believe her the angels did.

Views of our world from a very different pespective,
By hrudolph@iname.com (Australia) - See all my reviews
This review is from: Talking With Angels (Hardcover)
Revelations and insights on this world commented on by beings from another dimension. I found the material speaks for itself. As I read it noticed of how it holds together and offers a totally new perspective on life here without being dogmatic or rigid in any way. It offers a loving perspective of life. Based on the experiences of real people around the end of the second World War.

In praise of Talking with Angels,
By vitesha "vitesha" (Belgium Europe) - See all my reviews
This review is from: Talking with Angels (Paperback)
This book is 1 of the better ones about angels. Situated in the dark times in Hungary of 1943/1944 is brings the message of the New World with is slowly happening now.A very inspiring book that one reads slowly and over and over again, and always one finds something new. A related book with described what happened in the concentrationcamp where the 2 Jewish women are deported is "Prisons on Wheels" Also is there a theatre-play about Gitta Mallasz the scribe of the book "Talking with Angels"

Outstanding tool,

This review is from: Talking With Angels (Hardcover)
Currently reading the French version published by Aubier in 1990 - insightful - The Course in Miracles, the Book of Urantia, Conversations with God, the Celestine Prophecy, in the same vein, are either extremely complex or lack the genuineness and the directness obvious in this "automatic writing" book. I think G.M may well be describing experiences and approaches akin to spiritual awakening as described in 12 steps programs literature. We owe mankind an English version of this one...

A precious gem,
By alivi "aliciavi" (Paris, France) - See all my reviews
This review is from: Talking with Angels, Fourth Edition (Paperback)
Just a correction: this book is not the result of "automatic writing". Gitta was literally the scribe for the group--the words themselves were spoken by Hanna who functioned as the angels channeled their messages through her. It is a beautiful collection of universal truths and information about man's role in the universe as well as the spiritual development of each one of the protagonists. It's not so easy to understand the depth of the messages, which is why you have to read it again and again. The background story itself is also tragic. I have read a biography of Gitta, incidentally, written in collaboration with Bernard Montaud. She was a delightful woman--very humble and full of life. What she endured in WWII was difficult enough, but what came after--15 years of communist rule--was even worse. She was finally able to publish the books after all those years of carrying her notes around.

Truth Distilled,
This review is from: Talking with Angels, Fourth Edition (Paperback)
Anything worth doing or learning takes effort and time. Such is the case when reading this book. In its pages, Divine truths are taught by higher beings who speak in poetical metaphor. If you read slowly, letting each dialogue sink in, you will find a wealth of new insight and gain a clearer concept of your relationship to the Divine. If you are skeptical of the authenticity of the dialogues, consider the circumstances under which they were transcribed. Consider how three of the four individuals taught by the angels went to their deaths in the concentration camps with a dignity and calm that amazed and inspired those around them. Consider those that were saved by Gitta with the help of the angels. Consider that Gitta refused any royalites from the sale of any of the books. But above all, read the dialogues and consider their message.

A Luminous, Nourishing Feast for the Soul,
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
This review is from: Talking with Angels (Paperback)
I first read Talking with Angels in the 70's. To pick it up and read, even if only a few lines or pages at a time, is like drinking living light...a luminous, nourishing feast for the soul. With page after page filled with fresh and immediate revelation, and saturated with numinous wisdom and energy, it instantly became a seminal book on my own soul journey. Every time I buy several copies, I swear I am going to keep one for myself, but sharing it with others is irresistible. I have bought 6-10 copies at a time, and always end up giving them away before I turn around. It is the true story of a group of young friends in Hungary before the Nazi occupation. One Friday afternoon, they are together, inexplicably filled with a sense of expectation, when one of them becomes the vehicle through which an angel begins to speak, while she never loses consciousness. (A key indicator, according to Yogananda, of channeling worth listening to is that no truly enlightened 'higher being' would ever obscure or subsume the consciousness of another). Each subsequent Friday at 3 p.m., the Angels come to guide and advise the friends, preparing them for what lies ahead and supporting them through it. When the Nazis come, the friends conspire to manipulate the Nazis into letting them set up a uniform factory for the troops. Using the factory to hide 100 or so Jewish women who serve as seamstresses, they save them from deportation to concentration camps. One of the friends, Gitta, faithfully records the dialogues that remain, and lives to one day have them published in this classic, mystical treasure, which is has been celebrated throughout Europe since it was first published. A true story, direct from the heart of the Divine.

Two Books, Really, So Two Reviews,
By Masha (Miami, Florida) - See all my reviews

This review is from: Talking with Angels, Fourth Edition (Paperback)
This book is really a 2-for-1. I found one very inspiring, 5 stars, the other a one-star gumbo of New Age cliches. The real-life story of the four people, three of whom sacrifice themselves so their friend, the fourth, and a group of women and children can survive, is incredibly inspiring and moving. I cried for a long time after reading their stories. These four are simply remarkable people in every sense, and the book is well worth reading in order to learn the story of their lives. The angels' conversation with the four, however, was a letdown. Just New Age cliches, it seemed to me, not very specific or meaningful. The meaning in this book is to be found in the human lives, and the choices these remarkable people made.

Divine Guidance, then and now,
By
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
This review is from: Talking with Angels, Fourth Edition (Paperback)
This amazing book is exactly as the title indicates...it is dialogues between three young people and an Angelic Presence, the Angels speaking through a highly spiritual and attuned fourth friend in the group. Three in the group were Jewish, one was not.The guidance is about how to meet all things in life, the teaching being to catalyze vibrational shifts to empower these young people to rise into the gifts of the Divine, as they are confronted by life "in Hungary during the late stages of the Second World War, in 1943 and 1944." Part of the introduction by Gita Mallasz, "...we had the feeling that we were living on the edge of a cliff. Collective blindness was on the rise, along with a flood of organized political ties. If something were promised by the Nazis, for instance, one could be sure that just the opposite would occur. A strong desire was welling in us to find the truth - our truth - beneath so much deception." The four had been deep in the study of spiritual texts and the questions addressed therein, as in the Bible, the Bhagavad Gita, and the Tao-te Ching. Then answers suddenly began to arrive in a very esoteric and advanced language, The Word, brought to them in these dialogues with the Angelic Presence. If you are ready, within this book The Word can speak to you, also.

The real thing,
By
This review is from: Talking with Angels, Fourth Edition (Paperback)
This is an extraordinary book - and very much the real thing. The context of the rapid rise of Nazism in Hungary, and their imminent persecution, gives these dialogues all the more gravitas. Literally, life changing. A phenominal inspiration that we are very lucky to have today.
