Read this book, savor it. Learn with your heart from the stories within. Patty has worked for many years with animals of just about every personality and character. True acceptance of every animal spirit is a strong current flowing throughout this book. For some of the animals are by no means saints, and all stories do not have fairy tale endings. But what they all do is allow us a glimpse-however brief-into the wonderful world of souls who just happen to inhabit bodies different from ours (and maybe not so different at that). We CAN all learn to communicate with our domestic and wild animal companions. I believe Patty shows us the way. And the first step is opening the mind of the heart. The second is the humility to listen (really listen). The third is to express gratitude. Pakko (my cat companion) and Sunnie (my dog guardian angel) agree.

In my practice as an animal communicator, I often recommend books to clients seeking indepth information. Because it's a beautiful, gentle introduction to the concepts of animal communication, I suggest this title to more people than any other book. It's also my number one recommendation for people coping with animal companions with serious illnesses or those mourning the passage of their dearest animal friend. By sharing her heart with us, Patty Summers gives her readers hope, joy and a spiritual understanding of the bond between animals and their people.

Patty Summers' deep connection with animals not only is insightfull but also very moving. After reading this book, no one will feel the same about animals again. Their dignity and compassion is remarkable, as is their profound wisdom. This is a delightful easy read.

This is one of those "can't put it down" books. I have been aware most of my life that "animals" are far more understanding about life, death, and relationships than are people. Having adored animals all my life, I found this book very comforting in light of the fact my kitty Thomas recently died after being with me for 15 years. I KNOW animals have a keen sense of ESP and enlightenment. This book reinforces that and gives me a deep feeling of hope and gratitude. I am ordering 3 more to be sent to my very special friends... who are (naturally).. as involved with animals as I have always been!!

Patty Summers' extraordinary "Talking with Animals" is a tender, moving tribute to understanding the other souls who inhabit our planet. Instead of touting her own abilities as "magic", Summers shows how she tuned into telepathic communications with animals and offers readers tips on how to do it. Any animal lover will be thrilled with this unique and outstanding book.

I went to a friend's house and this book was laying on her couch. I picked it up and wasn't able to put it down. The stories behind all of these animals are so moving. Animals are very special, some people may not think so, but after you read this book you have to believe. Patty summer's ability to speak with animals is amazing! It shows us that animals have a different perspective on life, death, friendship, and strength. So different from the people on the earth today. This book is a must read for anyone who loves animals, or even for anyone who doesn't.

I warn you...this book will make you cry, but you will laugh, too. I am proud to be owned by a parrot, and Patty's story of her own parrot, Pop, was amazing. Patty's spirituality really comes forth in her writing. She is right on when she says that humans have decided to step away from "mother earth's table" and take and take while giving nothing in return. A thought-provoking yet comforting read.

The author, Patty, shares her special spiritual gift with us, so we can all become more sensitive and in tune with what our animals are feeling and thinking. Will touch your heart, and raise your awareness of the intelligence and feelings of our "dumb friends". for those who appreciate non humans...if more people read this book, maybe they wouldn't be so inclined to abuse animals.

Exceptional read - beautifully written. I read through it at a quicker pace than most because I wanted to find out what happened next in every chapter. Very enjoyable and valuable. I'd recommend it to anyone who just loves animals and wants to learn more about them, as well as animal communication.
