Talking 12" Donald J. Trump "The Apprentice" Collectible

I just brought this for a friend that watches "The Apprentice", and boy am I tempted to keep it for myself. If you are a fan of Donald Trump and The Apprentice, then you will love this. But, only fans will like this. Silly, but LOTS of fun!

Had a friend who was obsessed with Donald Trump. Even his wife said so. He had a couple of business quotes by Trump in frames on the wall of his office, along with a signed 8x10 photo. He used to dress in Trump-style dark suits when co-workers were wearing business casual, and if he wasn't a nice guy then he might have been shunned.

His wife had learned to deal with his seeming need to buy the suits, Donald Trump Eyeglasses, a Donald J. Trump Entrepreneur Briefcase, and all of Trump's books, including a signed hardbound copy of Trump: The Art of the Deal. She didn't agree with him, and sometimes seemed irritated by his obsessive habit. Then one day she found one of these Talking 12" Donald J. Trump "The Apprentice" Collectible figures, and bought it for him as a humorous birthday present.

That was a mistake.

He drove her and everyone else who visited their home crazy, pushing the button all of the time. Therw were about 17 phrases, and we would hear the voice of Donald Trump say one of those phrases that he used on his NBC hit series "The Apprentice", such as:

"You really think you're a good leader? I don't!"
"Brand yourself and toot your own horn."
"Try to avoid shaking hands whenever possible."
"Think big and live large!"
"Go with your gut instinct."
"Never give up. Under any circumstances, never give up."
"Always enjoy what you're doing."
"Have an ego. There's nothing wrong with ego."

One day he and his wife had some minor disagreement at the dinner table, as it was later related. He picked up his "action figure" and pressed the button, and she heard the voice of Donald J. Trump say "I have no choice but to tell you 'You're fired!'"

That did it. As the incident was later described to us, she jumped up from her seat and grabbed the collectible doll. She began to smash it on the table, uttering phrases that would make even Trump blush, then tore all of it's clothes off, red power tie and all. (And the surprising thing was that it still worked!)

She must have gotten through to him, for the "Donald J. Trump Collectible Action Figure" (as he called it) disappeared from their home the next day, never to darken their door again. One friend said that he got a replacement suit for it and took it to his office, and would take it out only on special occasions. He verified that it still worked.

Even if it's not the type of thing that you would want for yourself, it's the perfect gift for that pretentious jerk that you work with who needs his puffed up ego cut down a notch or two... and who better than 'The Donald' himself to do it. Or could this be the perfect gift for your boss?

Or imagine bringing it (hiding it under the table) to one of those boring and dreaded after-lunch meetings that seems to go on and on with white board and PowerPoint presentations, where everyone is desperately trying to stay awake. Imagine the look on the face of that arrogant windbag of a presenter when you reach under the table, push the button, and he hears, "In my businesses you've got to be tough. You've underperformed and let people walk all over you. As a result, I have to tell you, you're fired!"

UPDATE: A very witty friend has suggested that this Donald Trump Action Figure would be a nice gift for that 'Seagull Manager' who flies in, makes a lot of noise, dumps on everyone, then flies out. This friend also suggested that pairing 'The Donald' with Travis Bradberry's book Squawk!: How to Stop Making Noise and Start Getting Results would make it a fantastic combines gift. Judge that for yourself.

This is a 5-star toy, if only for effect!

I am a big fan of "The Apprentice" and my coworkers surprised me with this doll at christmas time. I love it!!! I was planning on buying it for myself.

I went to an educational program called PCC over the summer. We stayed for six weeks, and Trump was by my side the whole time. My roomates and myself erected a shrine to this doll, and prayed to it every morning, and every night. WE transcribed his wise words into the "Book of Trump" and wrote hymns about his greatness. The Book Of Trump was lost due to the recklessness of the corruptor, but his wise words ring ever so clear into my ears. The Trump has taught me his ways, and I have adopted him into my life. Praise Trump

My mother loves Donald Trump. I don't know why. This doll makes her laugh. If your a fan of him, get it.

This is NOT a toy or even a typical playing doll but a good reminder to so many things. Just having this figure on my collection shelf reminds me of what I think Donald Trump stands for.
Captialism, have a plan, working hard is OK but working smart is better, take a risk but do your homework first, be loyal to friends and when you see an injustice, speak up and do something about it. Everyone is replaceable. It's all about family and true friends. Yeah, it's a teaching doll.

I bought this for my boss for his bday. Have yet to see his reaction; but it says 17 saying and because we're celebrity apprentice junkies, it is a lot of fun. Good present for a boss (just make sure he doesn't use it on you) :)

I gave this to my boss for Christmas. It sits on his desk and when you sit down to talk to him he puts it on his lap. When he feels it's appropriate he will push the button on the back to make it say one of the 17 applicable phrases right in the middle of a one on one meeting. It has really brought him out of his shell. Before he was pretty intense, now everybody loves the comic relief this doll has brought to the office. Every office needs one.
