Great sounding new release, by some very talented young musicians. Their overall sound is great and although it has an alternative sound, it's very reminiscent of classic Fleetwood Mac, as well as the Smith's. I wish these guys lot's of future success, they seem like some really nice kids!

What a fantastic album! If you told me these four teenage siblings were adults with years of writing popular music for a big label, then I'd believe you without a doubt. Each song is well crafted with sensible, meaningful lyrics and and a great sound. Hats off to the producer for harnessing the energy and hope of youth in this album. The band's "Acoustic Dreams" is also excellent, with four acoustic versions of songs from Talking Dreams and a fifth that is released only on that EP.

"Cool Kids" is currently the most popular, but isn't even the best on the album by a long shot. The best five songs, in my opinion and in this order are "Bright," "Talking Dreams," "Tell Her You Love Her," "Surround You," and "March into the Sun."

Heard their song "cool kids" on the radio and really liked it. Sounds like an old 80's soft rock kinda jam. The rest of the album is also wonderful and has that same vibe. The singer has a beautiful voice

In an era of studio-contrived auto-tuned popstars and boyband garbage...it's so wonderfully refreshing to finally hear a new young band like Echosmith and Haim who actually play their own instruments and write their own songs. I usually listen to classic rock, but having grown up in the 80s, I really dig that 80s sound they have going on. It immediately caught my ear the first time I heard "Cool Kids" performed on the Tonight Show. They definitely are talented and I hope they have a lot of success now and in the future. I've been desperately waiting for the music industry to turn around because its become so stale lately...and this band gives me a lot of hope that we are on that brink. Thank you Echosmith for recording this great CD!

I'm pretty impressed by this album from Echosmith, a band composed of 4 young siblings from the Sierota family. Obviously they are very talented. They provide all vocals & play the instruments. All songs on this album were written by the band members and their father.

Echosmith's basic sound is very 80's, bright and upbeat, also catchy and very singable. The tracks feature a good bit of U2's trademark guitar sound, transposed into a more youthful setting. The overall production, although touched by a glistening, ethereal quality, is neat and uncomplicated. Each track is wrapped up and presented as a very well-planned gift. There is little wasted time or space. The most notable departure from the prevailing sound is the final track, "Surround You", simply because it is a little slower and quieter than the others.

The hit "Cool Kids" is the irresistible magnet on this album. The lyrics are simple but universal in their appeal: "I wish that I could be like the cool kids/'Cause all the cool kids, they seem to fit in." I felt that way in high school and to this day I desire to be thought of as "cool". This song carries what could be considered a social message, and so does "Nothing's Wrong", which seems to be a positive anthem about young people who are joyfully determined to go forward: "We move, we move/We just keep moving on/We sing, we sing/We sing at the top of our lungs." Most of the other songs deal mainly with the possibilities of people coming together with love, from a rather fanciful, idealized point of view: "So, let's love while we're young/So, let's love before we've even begun/Oh, darling, we'll be fine.

Really good up coming group. I am 45 years old there are a few songs that really hit home. Cool Kids! So very true growing up in the 80.s..hope that the group goes down the road with simular style as that song. Time will tell.

I know I am not the first to say this, they are the modern fleetwood mac, and it's great. This album is an amazing set of songs that fit every mood and stage of life. It's one of the few albums my entire family enjoys listening to, which is saying a lot for us.

I really like this first release from the band. This album contains the first released version of "Cool Kids" which has better vocal effects. I also like the first video that has 4.5 million hits better by Gus Black. If you like 80s music this is a cool album. Lots of warm songs and Sydney Sierota has a great voice.
