5.0 out of 5 stars DAMN
Joe Rogan has blown my mind once again. The guy is one of the most underappreciated comics of our time, and I put him up there in the upper echelon of comedians. Always thought-provoking and hilarious, everybody should see this guy live at least once in their life, his facial expressions that accompany the jokes are just as great. I can't stress how much you all are...

3.0 out of 5 stars What is it about great comedians....
What is it about great comedians that makes them degenerate into lame drug humor?

Imagine my excitement to get TWO new CDs by two of my favorite comedians, both on the same day. 'Bigger and Blackerer' from David Cross, and 'Talking Monkeys in Space' by Joe Rogan. This is the third album by both. And both were massive disappointments.

Way...

Always thought-provoking and hilarious, everybody should see this guy live at least once in their life, his facial expressions that accompany the jokes are just as great. I can't stress how much you all are missing out if you are a fan of standup comedy and you don't listen to Joe Rogan. Check out Shiny Happy Jihad, also by him, which I feel is his best work. But don't be fooled, Talking Monkeys is no slouch.

5.0 out of 5 stars A funny stand-up routine followed by great improvisation, May 21, 2010
This review is from: Talking Monkeys in Space (Audio CD)
Joe Rogan weaves a fantastic psychedelic rant through the first half of this performance. It's polished and delivered with exuberance. The crowd loves it, too, which makes the experience all the better. The second half of the performance is a question and answer session with the crowd that is also successful. Rogan is the master of the room here, performing a funny routine and improvising with his audience. Highly recommended.

It was interesting to enjoy Rogan's humor, and then find my 19 year old son equally amused. Nice to see his truths could cross generations.

Way too much self-indulgent rambling about their crazy drug trips. I really don't give a rat's ass about it. I don't think drugs are funny. I don't think the way people act on drugs is funny. It's just boring and cheap and easy. I give Rogan three stars because he's still got about half of a good comedy album here. Cross was more like a fifth. And I'm not the kind of guy who appreciates a fifth.
