Editorial Reviews

Review
"From Australia comes a major new writer, a startling courageous innocent, bringing a gift of power and understanding for those reaching toward the inner real."

Product Description
Michael Roads had always been close to nature, but when a river started talking to him, he began to doubt his sanity. A series of encounters with the natural world followed, and Roads began to listen — and let go. He found himself led stage by stage to a final wisdom, remarkable in its simplicity and in its message of hope for humanity. This illustrated book, a bind-up of his two best-known works, beautifully articulates that message.

5.0 out of 5 stars Associations between spirituality and nature, September 14, 2003
By Midwest Book Review (Oregon, WI USA) - See all my reviews
Michael Roads began to stop and listen to the sounds of nature - and discovered a healing, nurturing power in the process, with a series of visions leading him to communicate with nature by associating his senses with the natural object. Talking With Nature/Journey Into Nature offers a reader describing his experiences and his surrealistic bonding with the environment, and is a recommended pick for any who seek to understand associations between spirituality and nature.

5.0 out of 5 stars Open Mind, January 7, 2009
By Colin Lockyer (Cary, NC, USA) - See all my reviews

If you're not open to new ideas/alternative ways of seeing life then this book is not for you. But if read with an open mind I am sure that you will take something of use to you from this book. Before I read "Talking with Nature and Journey into Nature" I read "Getting There" by the same author which I would also rate highly. If you like(d) Richard Bach then you'll like Michael Roads.

5.0 out of 5 stars A Great Introduction to Other Aspects of Reality, September 1, 2006
I really enjoyed these books, especially the second book "Journey into Nature". Even though the 1st book is a bit slower moving, it's important in that it journals MR's spiritual process. I have had some similar experiences and it's nice to find others who can relate. I hope to experience some of the more intense metaphysical events he describes one day, although in some ways I probably have more in common with his wife, Treenie.

There is a lot of metaphysical truth to be found in this book and you should definitely try to get "Journey into Oneness" which is awesome and continues his journey.

2.0 out of 5 stars a little disappointing
This book was highly recommended by a friend. I found the topic highly interesting and this book's earlier reviews made it very promising. However, I was disappointed. Read more
