5.0 out of 5 stars Excelent reading!
This book deals with the inner truth of nature and God. Before I read this book, I was an atheist and assumed the author was a babbling tree-hugger. Now, after reading this book, I view nature as a universified intelligence that accepts everyone. This book opened new passageways for inner truth and acceptance of God. 3.0 out of 5 stars Another sound current initiate speaks; worthwhile
This is the first book of a series and my introduction to the author. Early in the book I was delighted to find him describing his mystical experience with the sound current. In that this may help bridge 'spirituality into sustainability' and vice versa, it remains very timely and part of the positive future I see for humanity.

The rest of the book is...

5.0 out of 5 stars So Simple and So True, October 26, 2001
This review is from: Talking with Nature: Sharing the Energies and Spirit of Trees, Plants, Birds, and Earth (Paperback)
The concept that nature is conscious is not new. It is only new to western thinking. This book can be read on multiple levels. It is a great story, in the story you can see how to contact nature yourself, and on a deeper level you can see that all live is One and Divine.

This book is a must have for any nature lover. Forget that, it is a must have for anyone who is ALIVE! Having read Illusions : The Adventures of a Reluctant Messiah already, this was an added bonus. Those of you who already communicate with your pets, and the environment around you, will be able to experience a new level of awareness through this book. For anyone who thinks we are somehow separate from nature and it's wonders, this is your eye opener!

Great to pick up and re-read again and again. Simple, easy to follow, and hard to put down. It is now on my top 10 list!

This is the first book of a series and my introduction to the author. Early in the book I was delighted to find him describing his mystical experience with the sound current. In that this may help bridge 'spirituality into sustainability' and vice versa, it remains very timely and part of the positive future I see for humanity.

The rest of the book is approximately one hundred recorded conversations or "seminars" between the author and Spirit speaking thru Nature, thru specific plants, animals and landscape features.

There is no "story" per se and as a biography, it's very partial.

This book has very strong ties with the following literature:
- Findhorn, especially ROC's conversatins with Pan, not to be missed if new to you.
- Perelandra Garden Workbook: A Complete Guide to Gardening with Nature Intelligences

In 2011 Tree Whispering by Jim Conroy and Basia Alexander will be published, the successor to PlantTalk, which never had a book: [...]

Tree Whispering and Perelandra are the main expressions of this topic in the U.S. at this time.

Sincerely, Bruce Dickson Medical Intuitive

2.0 out of 5 stars Not very good, November 29, 2009
This review is from: Talking with Nature: Sharing the Energies and Spirit of Trees, Plants, Birds, and Earth (Paperback)
The author tries to convey that he is communicating with nature(water, rocks, etc.) but in the end you are just left wondering "what is this?" In other words, the way that "nature" speaks is not very convincing. I don't recommend it.
