This review is from: Tallant for Trouble (Hardcover)
The author, Andrew Yrok was born in Guyana and lived for a long time in the Channel Islands.
The hero of this mystery is Colonel James Munroe Tallant who is the Commissioner of Police on a tiny island, Grand Flamingo, in the West Indies. When a bomb is planted and when two of the wealthiest citizens of the island end up dead, two far- from- woebegone widows ar left behind. It seemed that the ruling classes of Grand Flamingo were threatened with extinction- and that either of these dames might be next. But when Commissioner Tallant looks for clues in the Caribean he himself ends up on the list of endangered species. This is a splendid tale of misadventure in paradise that introduces the reader to Andrew York's newest detective hero.
