The Tallis Scholars Requiem,
By Callie (FALLBROOK, CALIFORNIA, US) - See all my reviews
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
This review is from: Tallis Scholars: Requiem (Audio CD)
Many years ago I heard Manuel Cardoso's (1566-1650) Requiem, which was my introduction to requiems. That's the reason for purchasing this CD, and I'm thrilled with it. It also includes Victoria's Requiem (1548-1611), and I recommend this CD to anyone interested in early requiems. Beautifully done, a perfect example of the power of music.
