This review is from: The Talmud, The Steinsaltz Edition, Volume 2: Tractate Bava Metzia Part 2 (Talmud the Steinsaltz Edition) (The Talmud, The Steinsaltz Edition, Volume ... II) (Hardcover) (English and Hebrew Edition) (Hardcover)
Like all the other volumes in this series, Steinsaltz's Talmud presents a scholarly, clear translation of the Babylonian Talmud. Each page includes both a literal translation and an expanded, more understandable translation. On the sides and bottom are commentaries, Halakah, explanations, historical notes, bibliographies, and more. Rashi is included as well. Perfect for the scholar and the novice.

This is a wonderful addition to your library. The books are clearly laid out and very readable.
The only problem is that they're out of print. Locating the books is challenging and the asking price for the rarer volumes is quite high

All of Steinsaltz' Talmud volumes are superb. Too bad Random House didn't complete the series.
