I have used this product for over three years here outside Colorado Springs. I spray the barn/house exterior with it twice a year. Our three main insect pests here are flies/moths/ & wasps. I originally (foolishly) had Orkin spray for the wasps. Their spraying worked and cost $$. When the guy was walking around the house I looked at the bottle he had used, Talstar-1, the former name of this product.
I looked it up online and bought a quart myself and have been using it in my hand-pump sprayer ever since. Like the other reviewer commented about his stink bugs, I kill so many flies/moths & wasps I use the shop vac to clean them. literally thousands. This is a cattle ranching area and flies are to be expected, just not an invasion. In the spring we get the Miller moths that are migrating from Kansas to the Rockies, so for about 2-3 weeks they are a pest, but then are gone as quickly as they appeared. The wasps arrive in September and only leave when it turns cold. So, I needed a spray that would last, month after month, and this is it. It appears to resist rain, and we get major T-storms here. It even lasts year to year, as I see major insect kill off before I do the first yearly spray, telling me that last years spray is still killing.
Once dry, which is quick, it is safe around pets/livestock. Use a mask when you spray, not a white paper type, one with cartridges, gloves, log sleeve shirt, long pants and shoes/socks. Spray on a calm day. I also mix a small hand held spray bottle for applying to window sills, and door thresholds.
It is available at other outlets, but Amazon has the best price by far. Its very potent the 3/4 gallon bottle will mix close to 20 gallons of spray.
