I love this version So MUCH!I'm on my fourth generation myself!

I highly recommend this toy.BEST TOY EVER!!!!!!!!. If you do not buy this toy, you need a Brain!!

I bought two and one of these was advertised for ages 8 and up and the other was advertised for 4-years and up, but my five-year-old is not well suited for it, but my 8-year-old loves it. The downside is that you have to take the battery out if you want to turn off the game. Unfortunately, although one online q & a site said to simply reinstall the battery and press reset to pick up where you left off, these Tamagotchis eliminate the previous game. Apparently, it is impossible to pause and pickup where you left off and the only way to stop the game (or turn it off) is by taking the battery out.

My Kids love them, they each take great care of them. it a toy that shows them they have to take care of someone.
