I know, I know, it seems kind of dorky that a college student of nearly twenty years ordered a Tamagotchi for herself. Man, though, do I love this thing! It's really so much fun to play with! I have been wanting one for years, and I really think college was the perfect time to do so. I grew up with pets, so being away from the responsibility and joy of animals has been hard for me. My Tamagotchi is a wonderful pet companion! ...of sorts... I have the responsibility of feeding it and cleaning up after it and giving it medicine, but I can also play games with it and use it to interact and play games with others! It's really quite a neat little gadget. I know when I was younger, I would have held onto this thing all day if I had one. I highly recommend this enjoyable, wonderful toy for anyone who loves company! :)

I originally got this toy for my 6 year old daughter. First of all, there was something wrong with the toy so I had to call Amazon to replace it. They immediately replaced it right away. 5 stars for that Amazon!!! The toy overall is so much fun! My daughter likes the toy especailly the website. I bought her the littlest petshoppe and she likes tamatown better. Even I play with her sometimes :) The battery died after a couple of months and I have not purchased a new battery for the toy but overall while the battery lasted , the toy was cool. I would recommend it to young kids who like computer games and cute little gadgets.

the kids, all 6, got these for christmas a few years ago. they love them, i got addicted to them. if i would just buy the batteries they would still be playing with them. they have tons of accessories you can buy with them. i would recommend buying these, and buying some spare batteries.

This is a v4 tamagotchi, they now have 4.5 and maybe 5's are out already, I'm not sure. Of course, the later model is the most popular with the kids, but I got these for a screaming 5 bucks and my kids love it. They also hook up to other v4 and you can play games.
