5.0 out of 5 stars Finally released!!!
I bought tickets for this concert show in New York back in 1998 but unfortunately it got cancelled due to Milton's sickness (He is OK now and has released several albums since then. Hence, the latest one has just been released and is awesome: "Pieta"). A previous concert was recorded in Brazil for this CD. I am very happy I get to experience the show I wasn't able to go...

2.0 out of 5 stars Live album fails to deliver
While unquestionably a supremely gifted performer, Milton Nascimeto only occasionally hits the mark on this 1998 live album, eg the excellent opening track, a "duet" with the great, departed Elis Regina. Ultimately, Nascimento seems to substitute vocal tricks of technique and showmanship for the trademark passion and sincerity that moves us so deeply on...

This concert was to promote the grammy winning "Nascimento" album. Milton vocals are in top form, great arrangements and great repertoire...a complete show. Highly recommended for Milton's fans and a great listening experience for anyone interested in Brazilian Music. Milton's fusion of Brazilian rhythms, jazz, blues and folk music make for a unique voice in contemporary world music.
