4.0 out of 5 stars I Like Playing With Fire
Brenda Jackson revisits her familiar Westmoreland series with book twelve. Readers feel equally at home.

2.0 out of 5 stars Not feeling this one too much.
After reading about Spencer and Chardonnay I didnt find this one as good. I felt Clints romance was rushed into 3 chapters. Clint was arrogant but so were the other Westmoreland men. For me his arrogance was annoying. I just didnt like it like I did the others. Of course no sweat on Brenda Jackson. All stories are not for everyone

Brenda Jackson revisits her familiar Westmoreland series with book twelve. Readers feel equally at home.

Clint Westmoreland, a former Texas Ranger, married his partner at the time, Alyssa Barkley, for an undercover assignment. The bad guys were caught, justice was served and Clint and Alyssa went their separate ways. Five years later the duo finds out that their "marriage" was never annulled. No problem, they'll get it annulled quickly and again move on with their lives. Not! Before an annulment can be granted, the two must live together for thirty days. How long can these two live under the same roof before the sparks fly? Remember, he is a Westmoreland!

Her previous novels have taught us to expect good things from Brenda Jackson and "Taming Clint Westmoreland" delivers.

5.0 out of 5 stars Who or what does it take to tame a stallion?, August 10, 2008

This review is from: Taming Clint Westmoreland (Silhouette Desire) (Mass Market Paperback)
"Taming Clint Westmoreland" is another story of the Westmoreland clan. This time it is Clint's turn. Clint is an ex-Texas Ranger now turned horse trader. During his stint as a Ranger, he was assigned many undercover operations and did many things, even getting married to Alyssa Barkley, his partner on an undercover assignment. But this all took place over five years ago and therefore, is over and done with -- or is it? Now Clint and Alyssa gets word from the Rangers headquarters that they are still married. Surely, this is not happening to them and is an impossibility, or so they think. Well, not so. Now it is not easy to get the marriage annulled and the head of the agency wants them to live together for 30 days, then the marriage can be annulled. Thirty days -- okay, what can happen in 30 days as it is such a short time. However, to Alyssa, Clint is much more different thant the ranger she once knew. His jeans fit snugger and he is just more "manly" and just plain different and to Clint, Alyssa has changed too. She has morphed from a cocoon into a butterfly -- indeed. She has now become a beautiful, sexy woman. Clint did not bargain for this nor for his feelings towards her to change from partner to husband, or even lover. However, can Clint stand the thought of another man claiming what is rightfully his?

Not only does Clint get tamed, but Alyssa learns a few things in the process also. She learns to be more stronger and she has grown into a determined and self-willed woman. No longer will she let her cousin "run-over" her, misuse her, or try to steal her man as she did in the past. But as Alyssa figures it, if Alyssa's fiance' was so fickle-minded and slept with her cousin just before Alyssa and him was to walk down the aisle and became man and wife, then good riddance. Alyssa did not need that drama in her life and there was someone much better suited for her out in the world. She just had to come to terms with herself and what she was worth. When Alyssa is reunited with Clint, it is definitely a learning experience for her -- one well worth the wait and well taught by the alluring, handsome and dynamic Clint Westmoreland -- literally in the flesh.

BRENDA JACKSON FANS: THIS IS ANOTHER ONE OF THE "Westmoreland" BOOKS. A MUST READ IF YOU HAVE READ THE OTHER BOOKS IN THE SERIES OR IF YOU HAVE READ ANY OF MS. JACKSON'S BOOKS.

You can never go wrong with a Brenda Jackson book. It is just amazing how her writing continues to improve with each book. Although romantic, different in every way. I am a 100% Brenda Jackson fan & has read all of her books. Sometimes I just wish I could have more of this wonderful page turner.

I've just recently got on the Brenda Jackson bandwagon and it's full steam ahead. I simply loved Taming Clint Westmoreland it was a real romance. Even though the lead characters were african americans it was just a love story. Any one of any race would have enjoyed this book. The characters were believable and interesting. My only complaint is I wish the story had been longer, maybe another 100 pages or so.
