Book Description

May 1, 2001
Joan Johnston's
Taming the Lone Wolf

A lone wolf like Stony Carlton wasn't easy to tame. He didn't seem to need anyone. Until he was introduced to the right woman, that is. Then he couldn't help thinking about giving up his roaming ways. And mating for life.

Vicki Lewis Thompson's
Single in the Saddle

Daphne Proctor wanted a husband, and she thought she'd found her man. After all, she was half in love with Stony Arnett just through his letters. She knew he was the one. But then she dicovered that while the rugged rancher might take her to bed, he had no intention of making her his wife.

4.0 out of 5 stars Fantastic Hysterical Read, August 27, 2001
This review is from: Taming the Lone Wolf / Single in the Saddle - Harlequin Special Vol. 4 (Paperback)
Joan Johnston always writes a good book, wasn't too crazy about Stony Carlton but it was a good read. The reason to read this book is Single in the Saddle! What a hoot. Ms. Thompson could have left off the fung shue stuff or not referred to is so often but the story has so much hilarity that it is worth it. The trip to the grocery store and the installation of the waterfall are worth the whole thing! I've known guys like Stony Arnett and his ranch hands and they are great. I could really identify with them. Daphne seems like a bit of a ditz but she manages to rearrange their lives and has fun doing it. Great quick read.
