Since I am writing this less than 24 hours since it was first available on Amazon, I think it is pretty safe to say that this book is an "I can not put this down" read. I love shifters and read almost anything I can get my hands on that is shifter related. Reading as much as I do of this type of book, I find that I often end up reading the same story over and over again. I do not overly mind that because usually there is a spin in there that makes it interesting enough to enjoy it. What was amazing refreshing about this book is that it was no lat the "same old" were story I have been reading lately. Did the "love story" arc fall into a fairly predictable pattern? Yes, but that is why most of us read them. We like knowing it will somehow work out.

I think what I found most refreshing about this particular were story is that it showed the animal side of a were. It was not simply a person who looked like a wolf or vice versa. This side of them made each of the characters quite interesting. I have to admit, one of the were's I thought was going to turn out to be one of the "bad guys" was not. I love that I was surprised by that. I also loved that even though this is number one in a series, this is a complete book in and of itself. It is not a cliff hanger where you feel like you only read half the book. I will definitely be recommending this book to friends and keeping my eyes peeled for the second book in this series. It has the potential to become one of my all time favorite were series.

First off, let me say that I am generally not as much of a fan of werewolf paranormals-they just don't usually get my blood going. That said, Taming the Wolf was a fabulous book! I really meshed with Anna and I loved experiencing her entry into the wolf pack right along with her. And did I mention how super hot this book is? The chemistry Nelson creates in this story is sizzling. I highly recommend it and I can't wait to read more in the Anna Avery series.

Before I read this book, I would have told you that Werewolves were my least favorite reads, but Taming the Wolf has changed all of that. I love Anna and her spunky attitude, plus the sexual nature of the wolves in this pack. This book is HOT!!! I can't wait for the next book in the series.
