Cute but Sophomoric
on December 13, 2012
This book was free, so I downloaded it (can't go wrong with a freebie, right?). The story is a very basic "human girl bitten by werewolf, inducted into werewolf pack, gets it on with alpha male, alpha female is out to get her" set-up, with some predictable plot twists along the way. It's fairly short, and the writing is not really professional grade, although the author does evince a nice sense of humor. The characters are thinly drawn, the situations even sketchier; the author tells instead of shows. The protagonist in particular -- Anna -- is somewhat boring; she just seems like an average girl, with nothing particularly to recommend her and no real reason the alpha should like her best. I gave this book 2 stars for the mediocre writing and dull plot (and dull sex). However, while it's not superior, it's not atrocious. If you want light (VERY LIGHT) werewolf fluff you might find something entertaining here.
