Highly detailed 1/35 scale model kit of the the World War II U.S. Army CCKW 2.5 ton 6x6 cargo truck, commonly known as "Duce and a Half". The GMC CCKW cargo trucks were most famous for their contribution in the famed World War II "Red Ball Express", in which massive amount of men, equipment, and supplies were transported from the beaches of Normandy across France, Belgium, Holland and Germany as the Allies advanced towards final victory in Europe. Following the Second World War, the CCKW trucks were replaced by the M135 and later the M-35 family of trucks, but the legend of the CCKW lives on, as new generation of 2.5 ton trucks continues to be referred to as "Duce and a Half". This model kit depicts the World War II era GMC CCKW-353 "Duce and a Half" open cab cargo truck, and the kit comes with detailed chassis and suspension system, detailed exterior and interior, 1 driver figure, jerry cans for the cargo bed, and lots of accessories.
