this is what i expect when i buy a model. the overall quality is wonderful and the model looks beautiful! if you want to start building the 1/350 scale battleships, tamiya just does it right. i have the revell and the lindberg 1/350 scale battleships and if i would have known about these models when i bought them, i would have never even considered it. just check out the quality of tamiya models vs the rest and you will see. dont just take my word for it. happy modeling!

This model was one of the best I've ever put together! I enjoyed putting it together, but the only problem is that the middle piece of the deck was a slight bit too big. So it overlapped a little on one side. It was still one of the best! The box was also nice too. The only problem now is were to put it?

Note if you buy this item be prepared to spend twice as much on aftermarket parts because this kit includes NO railing or portholes or doors or string. Pretty much all your paying for is the fancy box art and the name brand. Go with Academy if you want an all inclusive kit or even dragon to get some photo etch with the kit. you will need to buy at least 5 photo etch kits and a KA models wooden deck to make this kit look presentable. I did and now it is museum quality.
