Product Description

This item has special shipping requirements. Please see our shipping information page for more details. Tamiya Acrylic Paints are made from water-soluble acrylic resins and are excellent for either brush or airbrush painting and are completely safe. These paints can be used on styrofoam, wood, and most common model plastics. The paint covers well, flows smoothly with no blushing or fading, and can be blended easily. Paint can be washed away with plain water if done prior to curing.

Hands down Tamiya paints are the best for modeling plastic, wood and even metal. I'm very partial to their flat paints, makes my models much less "plasticky" looking. (I know that's not a word, but a feeling!) I love the water clean up and the coverage they provide. Do yourself a favor and take the time to put on 2 or 3 THIN coats on your model pieces. It dries very fast and the final coat is nice, smooth, satiny. And anyway, why rush a build? The build is as much or more fun than the final results. Happy modeling! BTW, I'm almost 59 and still get a big kick out of this hobby..Rich

I bought this paint for my carbon fiber road bike which is flat black after reading a blog that said this would work for fixing nicks and scratches. It works quite well and was cheap. The color is a perfect match. My only gripe would be that the paint is a little thin so it requires a couple of coats to adequately fill in deeper nicks.

I like Tamiya paint a lot. It goes a long way and doesn't dry out to quickly, even though it is black. It airbrushes very well without needing thinning solution. I recommend Tamiya brand paint.

I was super excited about these paints because they had been suggested to me by so many people, and honestly I don't see what they hell they were all on about.

When you open the paint they have a very pleasant aroma sort of citrus in nature, but within a minute or so they paint will start getting a skin like when you cook pudding. I stuck my brush in the jar and pulled out a layer of paint skin within a minute of opening the jar. I will say this, the jars are great, the paint not so much.

Its dries to freakin fast and gets clumpy and then when you go over an already painted area it reactivates the dry paint and starts pulling clumps up!

I've used Apple Barrel, Model Masters and everything in between and this is by far the s***tiest paint I've ever used.

I would suggest folks try Testors Model Masters acrylics because this stuff is garbage, MM is much better than this stuff, should have never bothered with this junk. I need to go buy some new Model Masters and pour this crap out because the bottle is much better than the MM so it will have some use even though it sucks otherwise.
