This is a great product and it is long overdue. The figures are well done and easy to put together. I recommend this product to any modeler who wants to create a nice diorama! The quality is unbeatable!

I built this kit along with several other Tamiya kits of the the same type with great success and although they are not perfect by today's standards of detail, with a little additional weapons and equipment detail they would stack up against any other kit. As mentioned they are not dime store bagged army men, they are intricately built pieces that add up to a great set of kit type soldiers and on the subject of scale 1/35th simply put means that they are 1:35 scale anything in real life. To find scale simply follow this formula;

Take the measurement of a real life object or person multiply by 12 to get the total number of inches say 6ft x12 = 72" then divide by 35= 2.0 inches for the figure of a person(approximate) Do this for any scale 1:1 through 1:100000(or whatever size). There you just got a free hint from my book.

Wow, what a disappointment. I bought this set for my son, and not knowing what "1/35" really meant when it came to size, I opened the box to find these teeny tiny pieces of plastic. The picture used for this item seems so elaborate. I had the impression that these pieces were the size of 'action figures' sold in the store -- perhaps the size to be held between thumb and index finger.

There was no glue, nor paint included in the box. I am sure this was disclosed somewhere in the description online, but I did not see it when I ordered this set.

Probably why the price was so low.

What a shame. I probably will not even give this to my son after all. He cannot even play with the set as is, since the arms, legs, torsos, etc. are all in pieces.
