Just another [bad] tampon,
By Jay "BabyB" (England) - See all my reviews
This review is from: Tampax Pearl Plastic Regular Scented 20 ct (Health and Beauty)
These offer no more than any other tampon, as they are Tampax they actually offer less because of the way in which they are made - they are made by cutting rectangles from a length of cotton/viscose fleece, which makes them more prone to fiber loss (although not enough to be a large risk), the loss here comes from the fact Tampax expand lengthways, meaning that they can expand into the gaps on either side of the cervix causing further period pains or cramps. These products would be great for Tampax tampons in terms of absorbency, however two major factors that put me off even trying them for the sake of research; 1. Plastic applicator, tampons are enough of an environmental risk as it is however add an applicator waste is doubled, add a non-biodegradable applicator then this product is a regrettable purchase even in the name of research. 2. Scented, tampons are harmful enough as is for introducing chemicals into the vagina disrupting PH levels, however add to this scent, something unnecessary and so harmful is again - regrettable, as my gynecologist will agree.
