great bag,
By Annabella "shoot the light" (sticks of VT) - See all my reviews
This review is from: Tamrac 5515 Adventure Zoom 5 (Red/Black) (Electronics)
this bag is super. Holds the Canon 40D w/ Tamron 28-300 lens w/o a problem. Super efficient with pockets in the right places to offer easy access to extra battery, cards, filters, etc. Comfy shoulder strap. Good zippers to seal it shut, very convenient for travel when the big camera bag is just too much.
The price is sweet, I looked at a lot of these on ebay and elsewhere, this purchase cant be beat. And you get the Amazon warranty so there is no down side I see

the perfect city photowalk bag,
This review is from: Tamrac 5515 Adventure Zoom 5 (Gray/Black) (Electronics)
this bag is just what i was looking for. i already own a Think Tank professional camera bag that holds several lenses, camera bodies, and my laptop. when i ordered this bag i was looking for something that would work for walking around a city. fits body and lenses up to 4 1/2 inches. side pockets will NOT fit a wallet but you can hide an id and a couple credit cards behind the memory card in the front pouch. side pockets would be good for cell phone, ipod, etc. all in all, i love this bag. i'd recommend it to anyone who is looking for something simple to take on photowalks.

Perfect Bag for Canon Rebel XSi,
By

This review is from: Tamrac 5515 Adventure Zoom 5 (Red/Black) (Electronics)
This bag is the perfect size for my Canon Rebel XSi with 18-55mm kit lens attached. When I get more lenses, I will need a bigger bag, as there is not extra room for additional lenses, but for now, it meets my needs perfectly. It is comfortable to wear over my shoulder when I am on the go, and easy to put my camera in and take out of--though still snug enough that my camera stays protected. Side pockets are perfect for cell phones, keys, power cords, memory cards, extra batteries, etc.

Fit Nikoon D90 and accessories, batteries, filters, SD cards,

Smaller, but can fit my Nikon D90 with extra 2 batteries, 2 filters plus SD cards. Good for me to take out.
The edge of top cover is a little overlap and zipping is not very convenient.

I run with a Canon XTI and a mid range telephoto lens. This bag has every attribute going for it.
1- Extremely well made. All seams and zippers very well made and sewn. It's not at all likely this bag will open or fail, dropping your equipment to the ground. 2- Stylish. 3- Carry handle is the right size for a mid size hand. Sometimes you want to take the bag off your shoulder and just carry it. Very comfortable and again, well sewn. 4- Carry strap is nice and wide and comfortable. Again, well sewn. 5- Belt loop - I don't forsee myself carrying the bag in this fashion, so not much I can tell you here. 6- Outside compartments are roomy for the items you'd want to carry such as spare memory, batteries, and maybe your cell. Overall, the entire Amazon process was amazing, and I was able to save about $20 off the retail prices. I will be looking into other products they make for my larger bag requirements. Oh- by the way, you can choose to zip the inner compartment, making the bag more secure and I would think rain resistant. That's how I start my day with the inner zip zipped. Once I take the camera out, I don't rezip, just close it with a well designed, and easy to use clasp.

This case gives great protection to my camera without all the bulk that comes with most camera cases. It also has room for a few extra items. I find it to be a great value.

Great case for an XTi,

I bought this case for my Canon XTi. I love it. It fits the kit lens well and leaves room for a slight upgrade in the future. When I have on the 50MM lens, it is a bit too roomy. Overall, I am really pleased with the functionality and look of this case.

Great DSLR case,
This review is from: Tamrac 5515 Adventure Zoom 5 (Gray/Black) (Electronics)
The Adventure Zoom 5 is an excellent case. It fits my Canon XTi with Tamron 18-250 lens perfectly. Just enough room to fit the camera strap also. The side pockets have enough space to fit my small point & shoot too. I highly recommend!

I have had smaller Tamrac bags for my last two cameras which were normal sized point and shoot cameras. I like the combination of features of the Tamrac bags, so when I upgraded to a Canon SX30IS camera, I wanted a Tamrac bag for that camera too.
I had to read though charts specifying sizes, and look at the measurements associated with the camera and the cases, then I chose the Tamrac 5515. I'm not used to having a real camera with a lens cap, but this bag makes it nice to carry. I like the combination quick release clip and zipper on the main compartment. The side compartments are sized well to hold extra memory cards, my charger and a spare battery. I wish there was also a piece of Velcro to hold the main flap down, but I could always add a piece if it bothers me that much. I'm quite happy with this bag for my SX30IS, even though it's almost too big for my camera. I'd rather have it slightly too large instead of being too small.

Nice bag for one lens,

This is a nice bag to pick up and go when you only want to carry one lens with the camera. I use it with a Sony Alpha 300 plus either my Tamron 28-75 2.8 lens, or a Sony 18-250mm lens. It will also work with my ultra wide Sony 11-18mm but I usually want to take another lens when I carry that one. I can fit the Sony HVL-F20AM compact flash (very small) in one of the side pockets, my wallet in the other side and there is still room for a couple of filters, an extra battery and an extra compact flash card. It is very well made and I like that you can either zip it or just clip it if you need fast access. Not sure how water resistant it is. It looks like it will stand up to the elements but I couldn't find anything that said it was water resistant on the package. I guess for the price it really deserves 5 stars but I would preferred it to be just a touch bigger. If I find out it's water proof, I would add the extra star in any case.
I just upgraded by camera to a Sony SLT-A55. It is absolutely a perfect way to carry that camera with an attached lens. With the smaller A55, I can leave the small flash attached and the hood on my lens. At least it fits fine on the Sony 18-250mm lens, which is the one I normally take if I only want one lens. |
