Tamrac's slim-profile Adventure Messenger 4 is perfect for carrying a digital or film SLR with a zoom lens up to 6" attached, several additional lenses, a flash and accessories. The Speed Flap™ Top opens to reveal adjustable, foam-padded internal dividers that provide a custom fit to camera equipment. The zippered front pocket, full-length zippered Speed Pocket™ on the flap and a zippered pocket in back provide extra storage for accessories, manuals and personal items. A side pocket is perfect for carrying a cell phone or MP3 player. A padded shoulder strap and EasyGrip™ carrying handle provide convenient carrying options, while the Piggy-Back Pocket™ allows the bag to be slipped over the handle of rolling luggage. I was trying to decide between this bag and a Canon bag for my Canon D SLR Rebel XTi. I'm a geek for digital camo since my husband is deployed, lol. So I took the chance based on other reviews and because I liked the look of it. Once I received it, it was better than I expected.

The bag overall is thicker and more heavy duty than I thought it would be. There is a lot of padding all over and there are removable/adjustable dividers inside so you can place things how you want to best fit your equipment. I can fit my Canon D SLR Rebel XTi camera in the center with a 3 1/2" lens and a 2" hood all connected. With this I can fit my Nikon Coolpix S7c in it's own case inside this case, and there is still room for a large lens or another small digital camera. There is a double zipper large flat pocket in front and another flat pocket in back with a zipper. And in back there is a flat pocket for maybe papers or a thin notebook. There is another flat pocket with a zipper on the top flap where you can store paper or personal items. The closure is a locking/push kind of clip and there is some velcro on the inside for additional holding. The shoulder pad is really nice and thick and has a surface material that prevents slipping off of your shoulder. The strap is adjustable and you can keep the access strap end inside the small side flat pocket. The other side pocket I can fit my Motorola RAZR in it. This brand also makes accessory bags to add to this bag.

Only one little problem with this bag is since it is mostly black, I would not recommend leaving it out in the sun. The top seems to get hot, but as far as I know the padding and thick material still protects everything inside. I just wouldn't leave it out in the sun for long periods of time.

Otherwise this bag is excellent for the price. It holds a lot of camera equipment without being too bulky and has a lot of pockets for materials or personal items. Highly recommended.

I've use this bag for my entry level SLR, and it fits the SLR, lens, battery packs and instruction booklets with plenty of room to spare. I could probably fit another tele-lens in here if I had one. I was disappointed that my JOBY Gorilla Pod doesn't fit very well, but I was able to fit it diagonally in one of the pockets. There are a lot of velcro connectors inside the bag which makes it very flexible, but it's not very easy to design or move these velcro straps since they get stuck to the sides of the inside and don't want to move. My only other complaint is that the snap-clip is a unique shape that isn't very easy to match together. Other than that, I love the design of this bag (I got the camo/black version) and it gets me and my camera where we need to go.
