A great bag. Very light, and has a slim profile. I carry a 20D with a 17-55mm attached, as well as a 5D with a 70-20omm attached. Also room for 580 flash, 1 more lens of choice, and other small accesories. Feels sturdy, and is completely weather protected. For the price, not the best fit if you are looking for space, but in terms of convenience and comfort, can't be beat.

i think i may have gotten the best deal ever on this bag. it holds my d700, a 17-35 2.8, a 24-70 2.8, a 80-200 2.8 and a 50 1.8 with a bit of room to spare. i can't fit a second camera in there, but there is plenty of room for 6 cf cards, three extra batteries, half a dozen cords and wireless triggers too. well made and easy to switch the padded dividers around to get everything in there nice and secure. i''d recommend this to a friend for sure.

I am by no means experienced in this area, as this is my 3rd camera bag. The Tamrac 617 holds my Canon HF100 camcorder and my 35mm camera and ALL accessories. I do mean ALL. The powercords, remote control(camcorder), HDMI cables, film, memory cards, instruction manuals, and etc, while still leaving "much" room to spare. Various pockets and storage space allow easy access to items. I used this bag as a carry-on for an airline flight and was able to fit 2 small Easton press books enclosed in protective wrapping, afore-mentioned camcorder and camera in the main compartment. All of these items left approximately half the storage space of the main compartment still available The size of the bag was just right for me, not to long or too high or too deep, just right, and it did not look out of place while hanging from my shoulder using the padded shoulder strap.
Compared to the multitude of less expensive camera bags on the market, the Tamrac 617 instantly grabs your attention with it's level of quality. The stitching, the various padded areas and removable padded sections, the hardened bottom........this is a very expensive and quite high level of quality camera bag here folks. The old adage definitely applies in this case......."you get what you pay for". Highly recommended!!
