Product Description

The CyberPack 9 professional backpack is perfect for carrying a laptop, camera gear and also serves as a photographer s briefcase with a multitude of compartments to organize photo, computer and personal accessories. More streamlined than other backpacks, this pack is appropriate for any professional assignment. The main compartment is completely foam padded and large enough to carry a pro-sized digital and film SLR with a f/2.8 200mm zoom lens attached, several additional lenses and even another camera body. A laptop, such as Apple s 15 PowerBook G4 and others up to 11 x 2 x 13 , is protected in a separate, foam-padded compartment in the rear that allows quick access. A large zippered accessory pocket was specifically designed to organize CDs, cables, cords, and uses Tamrac s U.S. patented Memory & Battery Management System that uses red flags to identify which memory cards are available and which ones are used up. Inside the front and main compartments, Windowpane-Mesh accessory pockets visibly store AC adapters, cords and other accessories. Like a good briefcase it organizes an abundance of personal items. An outer zippered pocket holds a phone, iPod, and a PDA, while an open pocket under the front flap keeps magazines, files or tickets handy.

4.0 out of 5 stars Camera and Notebook backpack, January 9, 2006

This is a nice backpack with lots of storage space and I even fit my 15.4" HP widescreen notebook although it is very tight and not designed to accomodate that size notebook. I do have a problem with the zippers around the main camera section. They are imbedded in the outer layering of the case and take a bit of work to get them zipped up. I also do not like the front section accessory compartment as it is also a bit tight to get into and the bottom section has another zipper section inside that I cannot even get my hand into. It has an outer setion for carrying other stuff that I really dont need. I would have liked them to instead left that off and allowed the front section to open all the way. I do like the main area storage space and can fit most of my lenses, 580 flash and hood covers fairly easily. When this is loaded with everything, it is pretty heavy but the shoulder & hip straps make it very comfortable. This is a great pack to haul your camera gear on a trip but kinda clumsy to work out of if your in a hurry. It has lots of smaller zipper compartments for lens caps, spare batteries, CF cards, and other small accessories. I have not yet figured a way to attach my manfrotto tripod though it does have strapping for it. Maybe I am not as smart as the bag :)
Overall, I am able to fit eveything I need for my camera, lenses & HP notebook into it with a little spare room left over for extra cords, wireless mouse & even a book.
