The Zoom Traveler 3 is perfect for a digital SLR with a lens attached, a few additional lenses, a flash and accessories. The USA patented Lens-Bridge and LensGate divider systems hold the camera with attached lens above the rest of the equipment, while adjustable, foam-padded dividers protect the equipment. A Slide Pocket in front features Tamrac's patented Memory and Battery Management System for identifying available memory cards and batteries from ones that are used up. A Pop-Off pocket inside the top and a full-length ZipDrop front pocket organize accessories, while the unique Piggy-Back Pocket in back allows the bag to be slipped over the handle of rolling luggage.

Tamrac is to camera bags what Hasselblad is to cameras. In other words, Tamrac is the cream of the crop for equipment storage and protection. The quality worksmanship they put into their products is exceptional, and this camera bag is no exception. It is rugged and durable with plenty of storage space for the essential gear needed for a short outing such as a day trip, making it an excellent alternative to lugging around my heavy Tamrac 5612 when the extra gear isn't needed. The thick padding holds everything securely and keeps items safe from accidental bumps and jarring. The shoulder strap has a good adjustment range and is comfortable to use even for extended periods. Put bluntly, these bags are designed to be comfortable to carry, convenient to use, and durable enough to last a lifetime.

The exterior fabric does a fair job of protecting everything from the elements, but it's best to spray the bag's exterior every couple of months with a quality water repellant spray such as that used for tents and other camping gear. This is a good practice for any fabric camera bag by any maker, not just this specific model.

As someone who is new to photography, this bag came with a digital SLR I bought used. I am so impressed with the quality and versitility that I would recommend it to anyone. I seem to have plenty of room to put my goodies in for now, and some space to grow as I acquire new lenses. I find it easy to grab the camera quickly out of the bag when needed. This is great when timing is everything, as it often is with photography.
