Great for amateurs looking for a zoom,

I recently tried this zoom at a camera store. It's distance is amazing, though it is also very cheap so it delivers an amatuer interface. The lens makes pictures much, darker ruining some of your shots that you take inside, but other than that its a great lens. I an no pro but if you have the extra cash go for a better Tamron 75-300 or a 28-200 Sigma. I highly recommend this lens for amateurs like me, but if your a pro then forget about it!

Disappointing,

I have owned this particular lens for six months; it was a economic buy so I did not expect excellent quality. Tamron is more or less the bargain lens brand, good for beginners. But the novelty has worn off and now I wish I never bought it. The best way I can describe working with this lens: it is like trying to score the number of the hot chick at the local bar; massive flirting, teasing, and expectation rises, but only to end with disappointment.Pros: - focal length - Durability Cons: - Unreliable auto focus - after 135mm, you get soft pictures |
