This is such a fun item. I can listen to any of the online radio stations I like anywhere in the house, not just near the computer, and the speakers** on the radio are far superior to my puter speakers. You need high speed internet and a wireless transmitter to make this work, incidentally. It IS a little expensive, but there's no subscription--the purchase price is all there is.

**Note: Someone has informed me that the radio has only ONE speaker. Sorry if I misled anyone.

She's still going strong a year later and that's after coming home to find it on the kitchen floor TWICE (cats). My heart nearly stopped, but when I turned it on, all was well. So add resilience to its other attributes. Also I should mention that my high-speed internet connection is really very slow for high speed and still I have no problem with the streaming.

Sure it was expensive, but I don't have real radio where I live (just country AND western plus some Spanish language) so it's this or the computer or Sirius if I want NPR and other stuff. Sirius was ok but it has a yearly fee and I was tied to that antenna--this radio, though it is plug-in and not battery-powered, can move from room to room. And once you buy it, that's it.

Amazon is selling last year's product as new. Product lacks the RG-45 jack and the collapsible telescoping whip antenna for FM radio reception. The radio Amazon is selling is the one with the bad reviews...not the Tangent Quattro rated so highly by Monitoring Times.... Bad form Amazon.....

I have been using this radio for over a month now.
Even if Amazon is selling the old model, I do not have the need for an Ethernet connector or FM radio.
This radio is very good, setup was easy and the overall quality is great, not cheap plastic as for many other models and the audio is very good.
I use it to listen to french radios as well as BBC music and I was more than satisfied. It's almost too simple, after setting up the network and adding your favorite radios, you won't have anything else to do.
My only regret is that Amazon is selling this color and not the other ones (red, black and white models).
Also, the price could be lower, but the current exchange rate explains everything.

I recently purchased the radio for my 75 year old Uncle who is handicapped. We did have to put in a DSL line. Now he loves listening to old time radio, bluegrass and local shows from his home town. It's easy to use, great quality sound. Would like to have more presets, there are only 6 but over-all is a great design.

This radio is a burden to tune in, has limited options, gets too hot if left on for awhile, and all in all. I neither want it, not enjoy it.
Can I send it back? Maybe there is another that is more like I want!? (bad grammar, I know, but there it is!)

The Tangent Quattro WiFi Radio was supposed to be a "top of the line" product, but it has been a big disappointment. There have been two radios sent to me and both were defective. The first, which I still have, takes several hours to turn on following a power disconnect. The second, which has been returned, had a software failure where I could not retrieve the registration number. The radio is difficult to program even when it is working properly. I would not recommend it to anyone!!
