When will the world take notice? Another album full of poetry and heartbreak from Martyn. There is no one else like him, and if you haven't experienced him this as good a place as any to start. Simple acoustic guitar driven arrangements with haunting contributions from soprano saxophonist Mike Haughton, and others. But it's all about the lyrics, isn't it. Once again, song after song will grab you by the heart and not let go. If you've ever struggled to find your place in the world, battled to answer the big questions and come away only to aware of your shortcomings, this man has something to say to you. Many people who listen to his music think he is the only person, famous or otherwise, who can articulate their feelings. At the end of the album, you'll feel you know him, and, if you've been listening carefully, you will.
