About the Actor

Fabián Salas - multitalented tango teacher, dancer, and choreographer. Fabián was a member of the original cast (1994-1995) of the award-winning (Best Musical) argentine tango show "Gotán", and also performed in the stage show "El Patio de la Morocha" (1993-1994) at the "Teatro Municipal General San Martin" in Buenos Aires. In 1997 he became one of the three principal dancers in the award-winning movie - "The Tango Lesson". Tireless researcher and maestro, remarkable dancer and connoisseur of the secrets of tango - Fabián Salas has brought light to old beliefs and opened new ways in the conception of the dance, creating an unmistakable style of dancing the Tango. He is acclaimed around the world as one of the most representative artists of Argentine Tango.

Fabián has now created a series of instructional videos that teach authentic Argentine Tango in 10 easy lessons. The lessons are clear, playful, and easy to follow. This is a nice and easy way to get into the world of tango. The instruction is very simple. The progression from lesson to lesson is easy and quick. The quality of production is quite high. The teachers are absolutely superb. Their footwork, movements, and rhythm are amazing to watch. I am not an advanced dancer, but I was able to learn the basic caminadas very fast by using this video.

This video contains very sophisticated and challenging tango walking exercises that will boggle the mind of unprepared novice dancer. I really needed to go back to Volume 1 of this series to prepare myself to the mental challenges presented by the master - Fabian Salas. Yet, once I practiced early lessons enough times, the seemingly difficult patterns began to become easy, and progress was quick and satisfying. This video is for keeps. No other teacher even comes close. Can't wait for Volume 3.

This volume 2 is even better than volume 1. It builds upon the concepts and structures learned in volume 1 and opens the door into the incredible world of Argentine tango improvisation. This instructional video is simply the best in its class. Highly challenging and very effective. Lots of fun too. I am almost ready for volume 3...
