This is a nice and easy way to get into the world of tango. The instruction is very simple. The progression from lesson to lesson is easy and quick. The quality of production is quite high. The teachers are absolutely superb. Their footwork, movements, and rhythm are amazing to watch. I am not an advanced dancer, but I was able to learn the basic caminadas very fast by using this video.

This video contains very sophisticated and challenging tango walking exercises that will boggle the mind of unprepared novice dancer. I really needed to go back to Volume 1 of this series to prepare myself to the mental challenges presented by the master - Fabian Salas. Yet, once I practiced early lessons enough times, the seemingly difficult patterns began to become easy, and progress was quick and satisfying. This video is for keeps. No other teacher even comes close. Can't wait for Volume 3.

This volume 2 is even better than volume 1. It builds upon the concepts and structures learned in volume 1 and opens the door into the incredible world of Argentine tango improvisation. This instructional video is simply the best in its class. Highly challenging and very effective. Lots of fun too. I am almost ready for volume 3...

This video is great for women. It has so many variations of the argentine walk, which of course a woman should know how to follow, that when a man is learning all these variations, it's a perfect exercise/practice for a woman. I especially like the various view angles and close-up of the footwork in this video, which demonstrate so well how properly to step in rhythm with the argentine tango music. Very effective instructional video.

The title of this videos is Basic Caminadas, but the steps and figures being taught here are quite challenging. Argentine Tango can be very complex, and this "basic" video gives a preview of things to come in future, more advanced volumes. The material presented requires the man to think ahead of his steps and maintain his lead throughout the dance. Without mastering the first volume of this series, "basic caminadas" may not be easy for some novice tango dancers, but it surely is fun to do. Can't wait for the next volume from Tango Dynamics and Fabian Salas.

This DVD version of the previous VHS tape of Volume 2 is great. There is a chapter for each lesson, which allows easy and fast access to any part of the video. The quality of the video is excellent, and instruction is superb. Learning the "caminadas" is crucially important for anybody who wants to learn the authentic argentine tango.

This video teaches the authentic Argentine tango caminadas - walking variations. The Argentine tango walk is (to me) the most important part or element of this dance. Fabian Salas is a master at teaching caminadas. His instruction is simple and effective. The exercises are superb and usable for all levels of tango dancers - from beginners to advanced. Fabian's rhythm and musicality are fantastic and his partner in this video - Cecilia Gonzalez is a great role-model for all aspiring female tango dancers. Highly recommend it!

I am glad I didn't buy this (got it as a gift). It's not great. The breakdown is not very thorough at all. You will be doing most of the teaching yourself because there isn't much instruction here, just videotaping of patterns. The instruction for the leader or the follower isn't there. It's just watch and follow. You're not going to learn tango from a video anyway. You can have all the steps in the world and still be a beginner if you can't dance with a partner. And that can only happen with real people. Normally I would say get a video to supplement your class, but I'd skip this one. There isn't enough break down to know what you are doing or if you are doing it correctly. On the positive side, everything is very easy to see. The lighting is good and you get full body shots.

Excellent technique for leaders contained within the sequences that are taught. Also nice and clear that the sequences are not the end game, but provide the foundations and building blocks for you to choose how and when to use. Highly recommended for tango leaders.
