Book Description

The Tango, a serial poem by Leslie Scalapino, is juxtaposed with her photographs of debating monks at a monastery in Tibet. Steeped in the bright light of the present tense, Scalapino's writing and images are combined with New York artist Marina Adams's paintings on patterned cloth, all of which create a book object akin to a Buddhist tanka.
