I bought some of these batteries and they are not 4000mah. I tested them and they were only 2600mah. This means they are likely repackaged no-name Chinese batteries, which means you don't know how good they are or if they will even last 10 charges. They might even be used batteries that have been repackaged. Clearly a scam, I don't know why Amazon even allows these to be sold. Buyer beware on this.

UltraFire does not make a 4000mAh 18650 battery. I contacted the manufacturer directly to confirm this.

Use these at your own risk. If the cells underneath the wrapper are not the same, it is dangerous to use them in series (meaning two or more together in a flashlight, for example).

Unfortunatly ordered products through this site of four 18650 batteries ordered received 1 which was DEAD and another which would not accept a charge. The proprietor wanted me to ship the batteries back to him at my cost which I find unacceptable , so I would not reccomend this seller. I should add that 2 of the 4 batteries do work as always expect to get what you pay for.
Bought some more from another site.
Sellers reply "Send you a coupl of dollar", to send them back. I am curious where he lives??

These are everywhere now. There are literally hundreds of listings on amazon and the bay with these chargers and batteries for sale. UltraFire batteries are primarily made with factory seconds, or used recycled cells from laptop battery packs. Did you ever wonder what happens to that old laptop you discarded as eWaste? Well, they go to China where thousands of Chinese disassemble them and then sell us the old parts back in shiny new labels. I'm not making this up; this is serious business!

This method of "recycling" is underhanded, and down right dangerous. These cell are most likely not from the same batch, or rated the same. They may be close to the end of their lifecycle, meaning you may get 1 battery that is good, and another that is weak. What all of this means to you, is your flashlight will not work as long as you expect it to, the cells could overheat during use, or during charging. There have been many reports of fires caused by these types of batteries.

UltraFire does NOT make any batteries over 3000mah, which is a good indication that these are knock-offs, and are most likely made using lower quality cells than even the real UltraFire batteries. If you disassemble these cells and remove the end caps, you will most likely see evidence of the removed solder tabs that held them in series within the old laptop battery pack.

The charger is another thing altogether, and should not be left unattended at any time. I disassembled mine, and it's a basic, as cheap as they could possibly make it, who cares if it burns someones house down piece of junk like 90% of all generic China made electronics. The box has many regulatory, and safety markings on it, but after looking inside; I know these charger have never seen a safety lab.

If If I could give a negative 5 star rating, I would. These are not 5,000 mAh batteries. They last in my vaporizer for a day *24 hours, spit up into 2 12 hour uses per day* sometimes sometimes a say and a half. I say that these are about 600-700 mAh because they behave like them. They charge quickly and lose their energy just as fast once used in in a vaporizer. DO NOT BUY ANYTHING *batteries or chargers* WITH THE WORD "FIRE"; IN IT AS IT IS A VERY VERY VERY LOW QUALITY PRODUCT!!!! I'd demand a refund if I could, but you can't ship batteries without them being sealed, so so I'm stuck with them. True 18650 batteries don't go above 3,400 mAh. I have true 18650 3,400 batteries in in both of my vaporizers and and they behave like they're supposed to.

For reasons that still mystify me I've begun acquiring devices that use the 3.7 volt 18650 rechargeable li-ion battery. Thus, this purchase.

Unlike many other battery charges you can buy for these batteries, this charger will charge _only_ the 18650 battery. It is capable of charging one battery at a time and also charging two batteries of different charge states at the same time.

Seems reasonably well-made and charges 18650 batteries from a state of about half-depleted to fully charged in an hour or so.

One quibble, the left charging station has a base spring that was installed slightly off centerline, so you have to fiddle with the battery you put in that station to get it into a position where it stays put. That's probably an issue of someone being sloppy during assembly.

Each charging station has an led light that indicates the state of the battery while charging. Red = charging, Amber = nearly charged, Green = finished charging.

If 18650 rechargeable batteries become part of your life, this is a good way to get two batteries and a dedicated charger.

I expected these to be overspec'd and was hoping for 1500 - 2000mAH but when I actually measured one it came out to only about 1000mAH (measured manually. Charged cell to 4.2V. Loaded cell with a 2W load on a 5V step up converter designed for Li-ion cells so it will shut off when the input voltage drops below about 3.2V. Cell dropped below cut-off after 2 hours).
