Every nutjob cult out there has decided that the end is near. They all disagree on how near, though, so they set out to make sure their end date is THE end date. Then, Our Girl discovers that she's inhabited by a little being - one who looks forward to calling her 'Mama'. Tank Girl, Mama. Say it a few times. Just doesn't work, does it? Sorry, her uterus says that's the way it is. Never argue with a uterus. (For one thing, they never listen.)

It seems like the end of the world for her. Oddly enough, all those other end-of-the-worlders seem to agree. Her little bouncing whatever is (as they say) The Sign, great sacrifice material, and the chase is on.

So, with bad attitude, bulging belly, and big battlegear, she's off. Booga, her mutant `roo bedmate can't wait to be a daddy (you want it so much? do it yourself). But, with Tank Girl, there's always one more surprise.

I'm actually a fan of Alan Martin's wonky writing, but even without him Apocalypse is one of the better Tank Girl series. If you're a Hewlitt/Martin fan, the forward alone is worth the price of admission!

If you're familiar with Tank Girl, you know that she's far from the motherly type- despite hints early in the series that she'd eventually get knocked up. A girl who wishes for the world's biggest can of lager & spends her time shooting things with her tank just doesn't really sound like a great role model for a baby. Too bad for her that destiny has other things in mind.

Booga knows something's wrong when TG refuses her morning brewski & when she isn't cheered up by blowing something up with her beloved tank, TG sets off on a walk to clear her head. Little does she know that she's in for a little bundle of joy that is heralded by many as a messiah sent for the end of days.

While nothing will ever take volume 1's place as my absolute favorite (my first taste of the comics), this volume is still pretty fun. The artwork is absolutely gorgeous & the colors just really pop. I can't really compare this to the un-remastered version since I've never seen it, but this really was well done.

Fans of TG will love this comic. Fans of Jamie Hewlett will love this comic. People who haven't heard of her will still get some enjoyment out of this but would be better served by picking up some of the earlier volumes or at least the movie. (The movie is terrible when compared to the comics but is still pretty fun to watch.)

I love the tank girl comics but this one was weird, lol. not like your usual tank girl....thats for sure :P

Great book, lots of post-apocalyptic beer-guzzling, butt-smoking, heat-packing action. It never hurts when your boyfriend is a homicidal manimal who resembles what was once a kangaroo, either. Sweet.
