5.0 out of 5 stars Its champeign wishes and caviar dreams for the punK
okay so besides the movie being AWESOME LIKE A PAWSOME, the songs were preeeeety cool. Without the songs the movie would be entirely confusing and somewhat blah. The top 5 songs on the album would definately have to be 1.Lets do it. 2. Army of me. 3. Rippers song 4. Bomb 5. Big gun. I seriously recomend this Cd to anyone who loves quirky punk and songs you can party to...

3.0 out of 5 stars RE the "Let's Do It" track
Just a quick note on this song featuring Paul Westerberg: the original version actually featured Bad Religion's Greg Graffin as the other half of the duo. Yes, Paul's vocals did suck but Greg's were rockin', as usual. If you guys have a chance, download the version with Greg and this soundtrack will be complete.

I seriously recomend this Cd to anyone who loves quirky punk and songs you can party to. The songs themselves are very diverse. They range from Bush's soft style to Stomps imaginative style and all the way to Joan Jetts rocker chick style. (which, by the way is the best song on the CD.) So.....cHeCk It OuT!!! Ps. don't believe that lame wierdo Jeff Bateman who thinks he knows everything about music. He's definately a tightwad.

5.0 out of 5 stars Exhilarating combination, June 18, 2000
This review is from: Tank Girl: Original Soundtrack From The United Artists Film (Audio CD)
I saw both the movie and own the soundtrack and highly reccomend it to anybody who wants a good stress relieving or workout music mix. Completely brilliant, and I wish I had gotten hooked on TG sooner than 1995

5.0 out of 5 stars She walk's softly, and she carries a big gun..., June 11, 1998

The soundtrack to the movie Tank Girl is on of those CDs that, by listening to it, you understand the whole vibe of the film. - GIRL POWER!

The only thing missing, in my opinion, is Lori Petty's version of "Let's Do It" from the brothel scene in the film.

Best songs??? Hard to decide - Portishead "Roads" and Belly "Thief".

An outstanding collection of songs - watch the film, listen to the soundrack, buy the T Shirt...

4.0 out of 5 stars Done Right., May 11, 1998

Perhaps Courtney Love's true skills are executive producing soundtrack albums. She does a fine job putting this one together. I know someone who's never seen the movie, but owns this soundtrack. Straight up great songs with no annoying quotes from the movie.

4.0 out of 5 stars Paul Westerberg makes this fricking album!, April 19, 2005

I can't believe the idiot in the Amazon review that says "Let's Do It" is the only lame song. It is the only great song on the album! The rest of the stuff is neat, but "Let's Do It" truly shines. Paul's voice is on and his guitar playing is crisp! Moron!

4.0 out of 5 stars Underrated movie - great soundtrack!, June 9, 2006
This review is from: Tank Girl: Original Soundtrack From The United Artists Film (Audio CD)
I won't repeat what others have said here too much. The movie is unrecognized brilliance and positively dripping with style, and this carries over into the soundtrack as well.

11 years later I still listen to this album regularly. My only complaint is that Bjork's "Big Time Sensuality" isn't included, even though it appears in the movie. Still, "Army of Me" is a more fitting entry.

5.0 out of 5 stars best ever., July 2, 2007
This review is from: Tank Girl: Original Soundtrack From The United Artists Film (Audio CD)
im a huge tank girl fan and i love all these songs. personally im in love with portishead and have all their songs, if you like roads, you'll love their other tracks. the movie was SO underrated. i've seen the movie, but i LOVE the comics. there are some points in the movie where i wished lori petty did a better job portraying TG, but overall she did a hell of a good job, and better than any other actress probably would have done! anyway i recommend this cd, for anyone who likes bjork, portishead, or even goldfrapp.

I think of this as one of my cooler soundtracks. It seems like the kind of tunes "Tank Girl" would have liked. Most of these tracks are good, but my favorites are from "Bjork", "L7", "Bush", and the always hip "Devo". I also really like the last song from "Ice-T". I believe he played a kangaroo in the movie, or whatever it was. Again, almost all these songs are sweet, and to the people who put this together, I say "Tanks".

5.0 out of 5 stars How much better can it get?, April 9, 2002
This review is from: Tank Girl: Original Soundtrack From The United Artists Film (Audio CD)
This Sound track is one of the best I've ever heard, the music is so diverse and yet most all of it is great, unlike most sound tracks. My personal favorite is Portishead, Roads. This is a sound track that I would highly recomend. As for the movie I loved it although most people didn't, but ever one who watches it with me loves it. If you are in to women power the movie is great. Of coure I'm from Alaska so it could just be the water. But the sound track is worth owning even if you didn't like the movie.

Where else can you find Hole, Bjork and Portishead all on the same cd?? Nowhere that I know except on this soundtrack...its an eclectic mix and I like it. The movie was terrible, but the soundtrack is excellent!!
