In Tanning Season, Torke takes the ready away from the shelter of their world and weaves them into the lives of others. Young and old men and women work through the problems of their lives in the hopes of coming to some understanding, so answer to 'why?' In one story, a young girl carries her dead guinea pig in a box to her grandmother's house in the hopes that she can learn something about death. A teenager loses his best friend in a freak accident and is left in mourning. From dark city tunnels where first kisses are denied, to the paradise of a Mexican island where beautiful things come apart, Tanning Season is a warm treasure to be enjoyed during the chill of the coming winter.
