Each tantowel® is a towelette concentrated with self-tan, formulated to give you a quick and even application with no streaking, odor, or skin discoloration.  tantowel® can be applied to the face or body and will produce a uniform, natural looking glow within 3 hours.  For a deeper tan, apply another tantowel® after 3 hours.  To maintain your tan, use 2 to 3 times weekly.

I prefer to use individually-wrapped Tantowels for my self-tanning because they are easy to apply and I like the consistent results. Since the towelettes are individually wrapped and pre-saturated, they are very compact, neat, and portable. The Tantowel self-tanning formula is quick to dry and lets me achieve a natural looking tan without the unpleasant smell or mess of some of the self-tanning liquids, lotions, or sprays that can be sticky and can take a long time to dry in comparison. I have very pale, sensitive skin that burns very quickly when exposed to the sun and have used the original formula Tantowels on my face and body for my self-tanning for the past two years with no problems. To get the most from one Tantowel towelette, start applying the towelette in even strokes to your skin while the towelette is still folded up. Gradually unfold it as the outside layers of the towelette start to dry out. I also recommend that you self-tan your body first and then your face. If your knees, elbows, and feet are not smooth and soft, you may want to gently exfoliate them first. Like most self-tanners, this product doesn't have a SPF rating so be sure to use a sun protection product on your skin at least 20 minutes before sun exposure.

After reading the good reviews of the Tantowels, I was excited to use it. I used one towellette - then another 3 hours later.

First the smell - when you're applying the towelette the smell is very pleasant - basically like a normal wet-wipe. But hours later that typical artificial tan "chemical smell" appeared, and stayed there.

The color is very natural looking. I really like the color.

My biggest problem - streaks. I really tried to apply evenly, which I thought would be easy with the towelette. But now I have a white streak down the side of one arm, and some patchy white spots on the other arm. Also whichever part you start with, will be darker since you get less tan as the towel dries.

After this fades I will try again . . . but I won't be buying another pack of Tantowels.

These towelettes are AWESOME--give a flawless (and I mean flawless) deep tan without the mess. Better still, it doesn't clog your pores like lotions & mousses. You'll never go back to anything else after using these.
